They're actually offering a level 9 to an academy graduate! San Antonio tower?

Apparently their spouse works at SAT, so it's kind of like a hardship before even filing one. It was discussed in the chat not long ago. Needless to say, folks aren't happy about it and I don't blame them one bit.

Wow! Talk about favoritism. I can see why people would be pissed.

So, what happens if someone else finishes top of the Academy class and they choose the San Antonio listing? Are they going to tell that person they can't go there?

They can't. Think of the legacy system, that individual is slotted to go there, if they fail the facility is out of a trainee and a slot.

Only person that can take the reserved spot is the person it is reserved for. They also allow anyone to reserve spots at a few other locations without needing a spouse there (St Thomas, Alaska, aspen, etc). Although those options can only be reserved if they have openings. The closest faa facility to san Antonio is Austin, over an hour and a half away. Usually the Faa will send the academy grad to a low level facility nearby the spouses facility, but it doesn't work out for San Antonio.

I was looking through that list and there are a lot of 8+ ones on there... maybe I'm misinterpreting something but I thought they didn't give those options to academy grads? Also looking through the list seems like when you finally do find a 7 or lower they are too full to accept new trainees...

The terminal and enroute placement lists encompass all movement within the FAA (ERR, MPP, NEST, Hardship, Prior Experience New Hires, and Academy Grads). Those 8+ facilities will be filled with ERR's, MPP's, Nest, Hardships, and prior experience new hires. If you want to see the history, click the Slot column, click to see 0. Under the status column you can click to sort by "filled with academy graduate" to see previous classes. You can see some of the people who were grandfathered in with the old process, but since mid 2015, the occasional understaffed 8 will show up, but everything else is 7 or below.

Perfect, thanks so much!

Anyone know why T75 StLouis TRACON is at 115.4% AOB and 92.6% Projected (CAT2) and is on the list reserved for previous experience? There are people trapped all over the agency and the priority lists receiving people are full of fat facilities.

Good evening everyone. If I'm understanding the chart correctly the only towers that academy graduates can go to are the ones labeled reserved for academy graduate?

No, those are slots currently being offered to/held for an ag.
Another Question. All those that are in white and no comment at the end...does that mean they will be filled at a later date or are they current options for on going classes?

If they are in white, they will be filled at a later date. Either via academy grads, prior experience new hires, or transfers (hardships, errs, etc)
