NCEPT debate thread

The trolls here have advanced beyond our control... they've infiltrated NCEPT just to troll us. Standby for nothing?
 
I'm thinking that's tentative or the first revision maybe? There's two main things that make me feel like it isn't official yet. First, no signatures. Second, the date. Did they really finalize this on the Saturday of a holiday weekend?
 
I don’t personally like the idea of trying to determine if someone turning down an ERR was for a legitimate reason or not. I do think a simple rule of only one ERR can be extended during a rolling 12 months would be fine.
 
Yeah then you have guys like me who are happy going to a multitude of different places getting pooed on. Providing a reason for turning down an ERR, that you applied for with the intention of possibly going there, is far more reasonable than screwing the people that are happy to live in a lot of places.
 
Turning down a 2nd filled ERR should result in a ban of some sort.
The people willing to spam the NAS may be considered a nuisance in house but the Agency and Union don't see it that way. When you're staffing a system nationally flexibility is an asset.
 
I don't think its a logical argument that there shouldn't* be some sort of 'penalty' for putting in and then turning down a facility when you get it. Doing that necessarily fu*&s over someone else and bogs down the system. Obviously you may have a sincere or important reason to turn it down, but that should not preclude some sort of ban on you doing that again for a set time (1 year imo). Its sort of human nature that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and we can see that with these first iterations of NCEPT. Even though we have very good working conditions as outlined in the Slate book, there will always be the couple people in each facility who push every single Article to the extreme, and force revisions. Is it selfish? Obviously that goes without saying. The sky is blue and the grass is green too. That said, I like that there are those people. It keeps everything honest and acts as a natural check on the other people who like sheep refuse to question anything and will allow themselves to be taken advantage of under the guise of "this is a good job. I dont agree w grieving things. at my last job we couldnt do that. " etc.

Penalize the NCEPT scammers. If you put in for somewhere, you should be willing to go. Cut the shit. thx bye,
 
So my facility is hiring a new Soup (as in adding one, not filling a vacant slot)and our rep has said that this is happening at a lot of facilities throughout the NAS. So I guess the agency played the long con here and got every one all disgruntled and will now promote all their friends (by way of NCEPT deviations) into Soup positions and then transfer them as they wish while also destroying staffing at facilities by taking a CPC from the boards and moving them to the office.
 
So my facility is hiring a new Soup (as in adding one, not filling a vacant slot)and our rep has said that this is happening at a lot of facilities throughout the NAS. So I guess the agency played the long con here and got every one all disgruntled and will now promote all their friends (by way of NCEPT deviations) into Soup positions and then transfer them as they wish while also destroying staffing at facilities by taking a CPC from the boards and moving them to the office.

yeah. they use deviations at will whenever it benefits them. totally undermines and bastardizes the PPT and is BS.

This would be giving the Agency a ton of credit I don’t know if they are capable of coming up with a plan like that. Though is does seem that deviations are approved or denied at random, won’t no rhyme or reason to it. Also taking a sup job to circumvent NCEPT is the most honorable to go down that road, so maybe you are correct.
 
Deviations are based on supervisor staffing vs controller staffing. Whichever is less gets the person.

So...thought on when the next panel will be? Since he says there shouldn’t be an interruption in amount of panels then should we expect a panel middle of summer?

If this is truly the end of the message that is rough, it means they met and literally didn’t change anything. It means the PDF posted yesterday which displayed zero changes that we thought had to have been a mistake must be true. This basically gives the nod to business as usual, if it haven’t worked in three years don’t know how it will start to work at any point.
