Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

I see a lot of people talking about how the Personality section of the ATSAT may weigh in heavily on the results, but how much does speed in which you finish everything matter? I felt like I speedran it and finished before everyone else in my group, didn't feel like i aced it by any means, but my timing overall was GDQ levels. best qualified -referred

I definitely think speed is a massive factor- I consider myself to be pretty fast in taking the test- my average reaction time on the LEFT/RIGHT was around .7 seconds, and took all 6 sections of the differences back to back because I was in the zone.

finished the reading comprehension with 3 minutes remaining and went very quickly through the personality questions.

I do believe that speed in which you complete the test matters because I regretted going so quickly through the test and definitely missed some questions that I went too fast to correct.

I would guess speed is a factor in some respect. The second half of the test I'm sure time does not matter since they are already time-limited, but I am sure reaction speed counts on the spatial reasoning and collisions no question. I still don't know if the differences sections have set numbers of items, or a set time limit per section... I was giving responses in under a second when I got in rhythm, so if those sections are timed, I was giving more correct responses overall. I walked out after about 2 hours and change as well. BQ-R.

Just curious if anyone has called and asked when the TOL's will be sent out before I call and ask on Monday. They might not even have an answer but the curiosity is getting to me, anyone else?

A handful of people have called and HR said 2-4 weeks. Although they have that info I think the safe thing to do is just monitor this chat thread and just be patient. Easier said than done but no amount of phone calls will make them move faster lol.

Pool 1, Referred, "Qualified," what is everyone else seeing? On StuckMic I am hearing a lot of Pool 2 people are not making it? Does anyone know if "Qualified" applicants made it through last year under Pool 1? Just curious......

USAJobs says Pool 2 "Best Qualified" "Referred", but when I click on additional info and it brings me to the FAA website, all it says is "Thank you for applying. Your application has been received." Is this the case for everyone else?

Update: Asked because someone on Reddit had said they were also referred on the FAA website. When I asked them, they replied "Yes the FAA site says a referral list was sent and that my application is among those being reviewed. Then it just says to continue to check back for status updates." Can anyone confirm that message? Now I'm worried :/

Last year we weren’t notified what score category we were under, unless we wanted to find out. I’m not sure for who ever received a TOL, was curious enough to ask. For sure I didn’t.

Can confirm I've received a similar message on the usajobs.gov website. I believe everything we can do is now out of our hands. It's in theirs now. Don't sweat it. We're just gonna have to be patient. Also it seems they are changing it up a little this year of how they go about doing things. Just be sure to keep an eye on this thread, your email, and usajobs.gov. FYI, others have said that we should be receiving our TOL in 2-4 Weeks.

if you get anxious just look in the mirror, flip that glorious mane, and know it'll be alright

Just throwing this out there. The workforce plan was published back in April and within says "For FY 2019 hiring, there were fewer well-qualified applicants in Pool 1..." Which I think means that anyone putting in for this bid would be considered FY 2020 hires.

Pool 2, qualified, not referred. I feel like I did good to great on the first portion, but was worried about how I did on the word problems/logic problems, and I probably overthought the stupid personality test. So those probably averaged out to a, well, average score.

Godspeed everyone! Hopefully I'll be back.

Very interested in those who are P2 WQ (and referred) - did you guys have a special job before applying or do anything unusual?

Just did a quick tally of replies to satisfy my curiosity. Can't promise I didn't miscount so take it with a grain of salt.

Caveats:
- I assumed all non-referrals were pool 2 and sorted the responses that way. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
- Anyone anywhere can make accounts and say whatever they want, as many times as they want on this forum. Again, take it with a grain of salt.

Seems like there really has been in shift in applicants between Pool 1 and Pool 2 this time around if the data is correct.
