Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

It will only say Received on the AVIATOR site for now and Referred on USAJOBS until TOL's go out, after that there may be changes.
Thank you. There was someone on Reddit saying he had gotten referred on both sites already, and I thought something might be amiss with my application.

Does anyone know if vra and or VA disability is factored into your qualification band? I'm sure the answer is somewhere on here so sorry in advance just looking for a quick answer. I got best qualified but I wanted to know if veterans preference has already been applied or will be when they decide on tols

I just called HR today and asked the same question. I was under the impression that the VRA points were used toward your score on the ATSA and that is not the case. It is applied by ATO when TOL selections begin.

I’ll also add to statistics. Pool 1, Q.

I’ll also stir the pot a little bit too. I won’t say where I received this information but this is what i’ve found out recently number wise.

FY 2020 FAA hiring goal = 1077 ( hires will come from this bid and includes prior exp bid )
Number of applicants from this bid = 10000
Referred = 3800 ( 800 pool 1 / 3000 pool 2 )
Number of hires expected from this bid = around 600

All numbers have been rounded off, take everything I’ve heard with a grain of salt. I personally am not expecting a TOL with a qualified score but who knows. Good luck to everyone.

If accurate, I can't believe they went 3000 pool 2 when so much fewer are planned to be hired

Wow, if these are close to truth then us P2-ers are in for a bad time

You stated you weren't referred... is this for another bid?

Full disclosure: I also was not referred, but am still following this thread for timeline and informational purposes
Interesting...
Take a look at 2018's thread as well. There was a lot of good info there about process. Look for posts around christmas, that's when the TOL's went out last year.

Not giving up yet, but realizing that trying to be one of the top 300 out of 3000 Pool 2 referrals, let alone top 300 out of ~9000 applicants, might end up not ever happening for me.

You never know, keep applying until you can’t no more.

Our bid was a June bid and last year's was a July bid, but that still puts us closer to end of November than the beginning.
