Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

Hi all, just got my CIL here. I was wondering, for scheduling the MMPI, do I just have to google the facility, find the phone number and call and ask for the proctor? I figured their would be a some way of contacting the proctors on the spreadsheet but it doesn't appear so.

The spreadsheet should have contact info for the proctor if available if you scroll all the way to the right.

It should be on the spreadsheet? Are you viewing it on your phone or a computer?

Things must have changed because when i went someone almost got the can for oversleeping and coming in late.

I trust you can see there's a difference between asking in advance to take a day off for a prior commitment, vs oversleeping and not showing up to work when expected...

Just found out my drug test was never received...that I did on 12/10...and now I have to re-do it...so nice! I HOPE this is the last thing I have to do, but I honestly have no idea because I still haven’t heard from my security POC since before Thanksgiving....huhhhhhhhhhhhhh looks like I’ll be getting a fall/winter class date at this rate.
Mmmk, found out yesterday when I went to re-do my drug test that the person who administered the first test was not FAA certified to do it and should not have taken my sample. W. T. F. All I could do was laugh to keep from crying. Congrats to all my fellow DF peeps who finally got a class date!!

Did your point of contact mention this?

The point i was trying to make was that missing any day of class was unacceptable. They stressed it day after day.

So did everyone tell their current employer about the questionnaire?
I would highly recommend that. Everyones relationship with their employer is going to be different, however, them receiving notice that you are sniffing around for other employment usually does not go over so well. I felt that it would come easier if I told them personally than just a random letter showing up in the mail. I was open and honest with my supervisor and owner the day before I submitted the eQIP and they received the letter a few days later. That was the end of December so it turned out being basically a 6month notice so they can get someone trained in the meantime. They appreciated it greatly and your employer might see it the same way. Best of Luck!

I only started my current place 2 months ago.

How can delay the eqip letter?

If you've already submitted the equip I don't really think you can. Some peoples letter's get sent out really quick, mine took almost a month to get to my employer so there's no way of saying when they are going to get it. I would just be upfront an honest with them and tell them what's happening.

You just started a job 2 months ago and you're trying to delay your e-QIP? You really need to decide what's more important to you at this point, your current job or ATC. Delaying the e-QIP will realistically only buy you a week or two, but you're on a time crunch for that too as per your CIL.

Has anyone going through the hiring right now been denied a security clearance or failed to pass their physical or psych? I'm THAT guy *trying to prepare for the worst, nothing's moved in that direction yet*, just wondering what anyone else went through. It seems like everyone on here is just moving right through the process. -prayer hands-

Have you looked into appealing the denial?

Oh most definitely informed on the process, mitigation circumstances and the whole character picture. trying to prepare for the worst, nothing's moved in that direction yet
I'm not sure how you could prepare! It's impossible to know what to schedule if you need specific evaluations done later- whether psychiatric, or cardiac, a blood test, or a redo of any physical component or drug test, or a redo of the e-QIP, or for security interview, ... or something else.

Wait in peace, friend.

I've seen someone that was outright denied due to some medical condition he had, no way to prepare for that really. I'm unsure of how the security clearance operates. As for the psych evaluation, I got tier 2'd, meaning I'm going to have to wait for a long time to clear that up, but I've never heard of anyone outright failing on the Tier 1 alone.

Try not to worry about it too much, no real way to prepare for it. Hope everything goes well.
