New question, has anyone that received enroute, asked to be switched to terminal? If so what was the result?
I asked and the response was "enroute is what's needed at this time per the academy"

Some info for anyone else waiting on security clearance...

I received an email on March 6th asking to explain some of the items on my credit report, as well as a couple work write-ups I had listed on my SF86. I responded a couple days later. About a week after that I had a phone interview with OPM to explain it all again. And yesterday my security POC called me asking for the info again.

Ugh. See this is the kind of shit I worry about. I did the same thing you did, I got a call from a third party agency about some stuff on my credit report in the past (I have since fixed these issues and have a great credit score), but I haven't received any updates since the call in March.

Have you received medical clearance yet?

It swaps every year, this bid will be enroute heavy. Next bid will be terminal heavy.

Haven't heard a single word from either POCs about any clearances after attempting many times to get an answer.
Wow, that really sucks. You have my sympathy and empathy. I received conditional security but medical has been more evasive than a politician. STILL don’t know if I’ve even passed the MMPI.

Same, have conditional clearance waiting for medical. I completed MMPI March 22; want to know if I am crazy for FAA standards.

I think we all end up a little crazy after waiting months without any updates

I'm in the same boat as a lot of you, medical 3/5, MMPI 3/7. 4/7 I was asked to see a specialist for something I listed on my medical history, 4/11 I saw the specialist, who said I should have no problem, and that he would even talk to the FS himself if I got anymore grief. 4/25 I emailed my med POC for an update. Finally got an update back on 5/7 saying the flight surgeon was still reviewing my information, and threw in I did not clear MMPI. I have not received anything officially saying I am tier II, just that my information "has been sent to HQ." Everybody hang in there!

Theoretically housing providers could just collect the full amount from the FAA and run a deal where they pay you something like $15 a day cash to stay there.
That would be a FAA violation if a housing provider did this would be removed and if a student accepted could be terminated.

I'm guessing the thing about use it or lose it with the per diem is true then? No pocketing the extra?
