They are definitely not hiring 1400 from this bid. 1400 is for the entire fiscal year. Prior experience, CPC reinstatement (maybe?), N90 bid, Jan (Apparently) OTS bid. I doubt they officially hire much more 800 from this bid, if that. Remember the Academy severely limits the number of controllers processed per year. Why hire for two to three years worth of Academy slots when you can put out a new bid and get new high scores?

Your goal right now is a TOL. If you get that, you’re golden. The CIL includes the physical, drug test, MMPI, and background check. The CIL just takes time and waiting.

I’d be surprised if that took more than the top 25% who passed with those numbers.

Then let’s say numbers are for FY19.

FY18 they selected 1,277. And left over 424 unselected spots. So in terms FY19 they’re suppose to fill 1,431 spots. What happened to the 424 spots that weren’t filled during FY18?

Where does that 1277 number come from and does it represent the number selected from all bids? I think the 400 or so might be taken up by people from the N90 and prior experience bid who would start next year.

Crazy idea, just wait for a TOL and quit trying to solve the mystery of HR and how many will be selected. Most of you will either make it or won’t make it. You still need to pass the MMPI, medical, go to the academy, pass said academy, get to your center and make it through training. Quit worrying about the smallest of steps and live your lives.

The TOL will come if you made the cut. It’s the government, things move slowly here.
