I got an email with the classes I'll be taking and basics course acknowledgement. I feel like the FOL is around the corner!
Most of us did, but it appears that was suppose to be included in the original TOL email.I got an email with the classes I'll be taking and basics course acknowledgement. I feel like the FOL is around the corner!
Count me in!Who’s coming to basics with me????
That will be below every single person that has natca seniority. On the FAQ on here it says all military time that is bought back will be applied to the effective start date of the FAA so I'm assuming that means seniority. If thats true I'll be one old trainee lol 10 years!
They need a government issued ID like a drivers license or passport.drug test scheduled for next week but they said I'll need to provide a federal government ID or something?

Time spent in the military and subsequently bought back, will be added to your service computation date (the "effective" date you started working for the FAA used in retirement calculations).
The actual metric is the date on the SF-50 for the first facility assignment.Seniority starts on your first travel day. I don't think that has changed.
Drove 2 hours to the nearest drug testing location today and was told I needed to bring my birth cert to test. Raised a fuss and kindly told them I was only told I need a photo ID when making appointment. They ended up letting me test but was almost a terrible day. They need a government issued ID like a drivers license or passport.
That's strange. They just checked my driver's license when I went for mine. It's good they let you test thoughDrove 2 hours to the nearest drug testing location today and was told I needed to bring my birth cert to test. Yeah. All that time sitting in traffic and $10 in tolls to be told I couldn't test because I did not bring a BC I wasn't instructed to bring. I was a little heated haha. Thankfully I was able to get it done. Finished w everything except the wait now. That's strange. They just checked my driver's license when I went for mine. It's good they let you test though
I’m almost done too I just have to have a blood test on Monday to prove my iron levels are normal cause they were a little low like 2 years ago THEN I’m finally done ?Yeah. Did you go to kent state? thats where im at nowThe benefits at least at the college I went to was that we used the same exact airspace as the academy does for enroute and tracon. We had a tower sim for terminal that used the same exact airport layout that okc uses. They put us through some pretty intense training and graded just how OKC does.
My heart rate just went up a tick..Mentioned this in an earlier post, but FYI, a HR specialist told me they were pushing to have people ready for class very soon, "like April". Don't be surprised you're in class sooner than you think, for those done with clearances.

Wish it could be going in April. Just have to wait and see.Mentioned this in an earlier post, but FYI, a HR specialist told me they were pushing to have people ready for class very soon, "like April". Don't be surprised you're in class sooner than you think, for those done with clearances.
Only thing I am worried about is finding out if I clear all the clearances for now.
