I had this exact thing. Luckily I had finally finished paying them off when my investigator called me. I got pushed through but he said to get any records I can verifying that the accounts have 0 balance. I contacted my creditors directly and had them send paperwork in the mail.Has anyone had their security specialist request additional information due the delinquent debts ? Any tips on how to get pass this hurdle ?
If your delinquent debts aren't paid off, I'd recommend contacting the creditors anyway and making some sort of payment plan. They should cooperate bc at least they're getting something, and then you can show the investigators you're doing everything in your power to get it squared away. That's what I did until I was able to clear them out (thank you stimulus checks).
It's stressful, but you can get away with a lot of sketchy stuff on your e-qip as long as you can explain yourself. I was lucky in that most of my delinquent debt was medical and the investigator was very understanding, but even with the credit card debt I was pushed through because it was paid off. If you can't pay all of it now, I'd recommend prioritizing the ones that make you look the worst. Just get everything in writing as you go.
