Need some suggestions.
I have lived in the States for a total of 8 years ( I am 26 rn). I am confused about who should I put in reference since people here know only me for the past 8 years and in the e-quip, it says reference should know you for 10 years. I feel like putting all three foreign references won't look good.

Just use your best judgement. You are probably already guaranteed an interview since you weren’t born here. The investigator will ask you anything else they need

If I remember correctly, the E-QIP asks for persons who either knew you at the time of a certain residence or unemployment period, but during the actual reference section, asks for persons who can cover the last 7 years of your life. I put down 3 people who altogether cover about 15 years of my life, with overlap. I say do your best to cover that 7 year window. I just had my security interview and it was not brought up as an issue, so I must have done something right!

I have been waiting on the flight surgeon to clear my medical I emailed the 9agl got a response back saying “hopefully by the end of the day early this week” now I’m sitting here like ?

Same. I was told a month ago everything was with the flight surgeon waiting to be cleared. I emailed my Rep today and asked for an update just because work is giving me such a hard time about everything. I know I have to wait for a class date and I am perfectly okay with that waiting game. That peace of mind knowing that you’re cleared is probably a huge weight of your shoulders.

I finished everything by early January but have not heard back yet? When do you all think it is a good time to reach out. I had most tasks done by early December but my medical exam was not until early January. Thanks!

The last thing I had to do was jan. 4th and I reached out in mid January to ask about everything. Reach out whenever you want

my MMPI is scheduled for this week, and my medical and such is scheduled for next week. If I’m cleared, about how long did it take for those of you who have FOL and class dates to get that information? I’m a teacher and would love to finish my contract before leaving (and get my own family situated for the summer). Thank you all again!

You won’t get a class date until May at the earliest, but apparently class dates in May are already full so it’ll be later. Unless something changes. Turn your phone sideways and you can view some of our timelines

Hope this helps: you’ll wait about 4-5 months after medical/clearance work (depending on medical history etc) to get CIL. Then 3-4 months for FOL. Then another month or so for Onboarding. and this will surely vary, but depending on COViD, probably a few months for the academy/OKC. (This may be a little pessimistic, and fair to say this varies greatly, especially with clearance/medical issues, response from past employers etc). Best of luck to ya!

Thank you for that and the tip! The summer is perfect, helps out with finances and piece of mind that I finished what I started in my last year of teaching.

I was born here but my parents deiced to move back and as a one-year-old, I don't have any other option.

they'll probably ask you for the account number and balances of the debts. they probably also will ask you to get un-delinquent, so contacting the owner of the debt and setting up a payment plan or paying for less

always try settling or negotiating for less - the owner will take what they can get cuz most people don't pay at all
