Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

I finished my CIL packet back in mid-February. I got an e-mail from medical on Tuesday asking for complete medical records from a car accident I was a passenger in 15 years ago where I sustained multiple life threatening injuries along with a traumatic brain injury. I had to call 2 different hospitals and numerous different specialists to obtain the records but everything should be getting sent to them by the end of next week.

Wondering how long this will hold up the process..

Sorry if this is not the thread but when it comes to the academy what resources can we use and is it controlled? When I was in navy nuke school we could only use pen and paper (no iPad or computer) and it was controlled so we could not leave the building with it and it had to be locked up.
No laptop at the academy

Honestly, they will probably make you go see a neurologist and it will take a few months. Had something similar years ago when i went through.

+1 You might as well make the appointment now. I had to go back to the doctor I saw when I had a tiny stress fracture in my back in 2014 from a car accident. When I went my Doctor thought it was pretty crazy.

It doesn't end during the screening either. I've had to go back to the doctor over the last couple years saying the injury I sustained back in 2014 no longer affects me. I finally got notice this year that the flight surgeon was satisfied after my doctor wrote a letter saying they were wasting my and her time.

Depends I would assume, I had to submit quite a bit of extra medical records in December and still haven't received medical clearance.

Learn to have tough skin. You'll need it in this career. If you're easily offended then you might as well withdraw your application.
Seeing as you created your account yesterday and are posting such "helpful" advice and I am the person making the spreadsheet in question I have a few questions for you.

Your statements give the impression that you have time in this career and you are not a new hire. If that is the case then what are you doing in this thread? How are your contributions here any more worthwhile than the person actively trying to help both themselves and the others here?

If that is not the case and you are in fact a new hire then instead I will ask where your so-called wisdom comes from? You do not have more experience than anyone else here. You cannot know what others are doing in life.

In either case know this, I did not make the spreadsheet for your opinion on it. I made it because I found it helpful. I shared it because I figured others would as well. You can say what you like about both it and me, that will not change what I do. I'm pretty much going to ignore whatever you say after this, so have fun. In my experience being an asshole isn't gonna help you in the long run, but maybe you'll get lucky.
