Facility Downgrades / Upgrades

For you facilities that have upgraded, was management on the case to get the raise? Or was it worked on from outside the facility? We are trending towards level 8 and should be above the 8 line in a few months, but our ATM is almost retired and has zero interest in lifting a finger to even start the process.. He won’t even make a phone call to figure out what needs to be done.
NVT sees the same information you do and they will reach out to your FacRep and ATM when you become eligible for an upgrade to get the process started. Until then, make sure your daily traffic count is accurate.

Nah, I don’t blame you. There’s actually some nice suburbs and you can make a lot of money though.
Oh yeah, I’ve been to ZAU, C90 and ORD for training and have obviously branched out to see the city a bit, but overall I’m actually quite impressed with both the Chicago area and the facilities themselves. A lot of the bad things people hear didn’t seem to be true to me while visiting. I’m just trying to get back home at the end of the day is why I say that lol.

And the downgrade hits just keep coming. They're encroaching a fine line where people will be able to find remote jobs that pay equal or more than some of these facilities and you won't have to be stuck in a city like Shreveport.
Only for some places. Then you have facilities that have been under the number for years and never get downgraded.

The agency will really have to address this as the work environment has completely changed since Covid. Why would any trainee want to work in an undesirable location for low pay when you can just go work remote for similar pay wherever you want to live? There’s gotta be a breaking point soon. Especially with lack of transfers.

I don't think anyone has posted these yet.
Downgrades:

FSM 7>6
SHV 6>5
SHV on suicide watch. One of the worst black holes of the NAS, in a very backwoods, poor yet oddly expensive area (bc of Barksdale AFB), working mids for level 5 pay with RUS locality. Don’t worry boys, when you just can’t take it anymore and off yourself, Andrew Lebovidge will post about you for clout, with crocodile tears in his eyes, even though he is the architect of your misery

Low pay???? 80% of the workforce can’t make more money outside of the agency, and honestly that percentage is probably low. The audacity that a lot of the children on here have is crazy. I understand the inability to move really sucks. But I make an incredible living in comparison to what is out there in the private sector.

Just for argument sake, mind divulging what level you’re at and how long you’ve been in?

What FPL are you ?

Half of the NAS can be beat by DOD ATC jobs and some contract jobs. Take being at a 4 or 5 you can make more money with a contract job.

Now, with a career change in the private sector you can’t be any further from the truth. The pension is what keeps people from quitting

Shut the shithole facilities down, or start recruiting from the population that already live there
