So wait, if the FAA reauthorization is until EOY, but the extension is only through Mid-November, we can then hypothetically not be able to be in furlough status and still not be paid for that month and a half?

The budget (funding) and statutory authority are two different things. The FAA reauth just deals with certain things the FAA is allowed to do (collect taxes, construction projects etc.). Funding deals with whether or not there money allocated to the agency.
