Deep Dish Detroit until I die...

Is Detroit style the perfect 2am bad-decision sponge? No. It is a great option but I'll let the New York slice or Chicago tavern style fight over that one.

Is it the perfect kid's party feed-them-to-shut-them-up choice? No. Grandma/Sheet/Pan/Costco style can have that argument.

But for a proper meal with friends/family it's damn near unbeatable; by itself or add a little Caesar salad on the side and a good beer/wine to drink with it and it's a little slice of heaven for me. Having friends over for a bonfire, watching football on the couch, or family dinner at the table? Detroit all day, everyday.

I'll die on that hill and also the hill that people who trash pineapple on pizza have never tried the holy trinity that is ham, pineapple, and jalapenos.

When Rich and I went to ZID and were ordering pizzas we discussed what to get. I said I guess we have to get some of those with Pineapple for the weirdos. Later when I was there I referenced it and someone was like hey, that’s me!

If that’s what cost me the election, I’m ok with it. Pineapple pizza lovers have no place in organized society!

I feel like this was information you clearly should have disclosed during your campaign. Way to shirk public trust jdatc ! 😂

But the question remains: have you tried ham + pineapple + jalapeno?

Pineapple by itself doesn't work. But the savory/salty of ham and the heat of jalapeno bouncing off the sweetness of the pineapple and acidity of the pizza sauce makes it a perfect dance of flavor. Sausage + mushroom is still my most frequent combo, but that trinity just hits the right buttons every now and then.
