Edit: All 20 of them being 80 or older. I’ve often asked this on a bipartisan level; how are we, controllers, required to retire at 56 due to cognitive decline and for the safety of the public, but you can have officials elected to govern our country well into their 80s and 90s? Like, imagine I hit 56 and I’m like nah, my brother who’s not a controller is going to step in for me so I can increase my pension. Yes I’m talking about Feinstein. But also McConnell. And Biden tbh but still.

I also think it’s fair to say a vast majority of folks in America are pretty central on their beliefs. There are stances and initiatives on both sides I support and believe in. The issue is the RNC and DNC wield entirely too much power today and we are forced to choose between one or the other. The pendulum will continue to swing back and forth, further and heavier than before. Frankly, I think we’re all fucked. And if we aren’t, our kid’s generation will be.

Democrat beliefs are pretty central. Things like you can have your own medical autonomy and social security and Medicare should exist.

Democrat, medical autonomy? Did you live through Covid? They treated people who didn't get the vaccine as Lepers, people were fired and refused services for it. The Biden administration tried to fire people, some successfully like the military some not, for not getting it for years. Like after that what isn't fair game for the parties? We are on a terrible course of one upmanship.

Bro the right is literally passing laws banning medical procedures and talking about cutting social security. It’s not hidden. Vaccines have been required all throughout history. Not a big deal.

Why is it that conservative outrage over deaths in Afghanistan only began with the 13 killed there during the withdrawal? It’s like they don’t even acknowledge the nearly 2400 troops who died there from the time George W started that abomination in 2001 until 2021. Also, I think we should all be thankful that ZERO American troops died there in 2022 or so far in 2023.

The curveball here is my vaccination status was never a requirement of my employment regardless of the “vaccines have been required all throughout history” bullshit.

So, for one, requiring proof of vaccination for our job was a change in working conditions which we refused to provide our upper management when asked under that pretense.

Two, nobody has ever gotten fired for not getting their flu shot. Also, apparently the flu never happened during Covid kek

The people just want a better product than what they’re putting out. But instead they insist on nominating unserious people like Dr. Oz and Herschel Walker, pedophiles like Roy Moore and absolute psychos like Kari Lake. Now I guess it’s a good time to nominate for president the last guy that lost even though he’s done nothing to win people over and everything to lose voters. Also let’s throw in a threatened government shutdown for a fake impeachment that they don’t even know what for yet. It’s a fucking joke and they deserve to lose
