NATCA

some facilities are telling their trainee's that they arent allowed to get another job since they are required to be available for work, you could just no call/no show if you did get a job I guess.
Don’t tell them. Cpcs are traveling on their days off to Mexico and Disney. Just don’t post that shit on social media and you’ll be making fat stacks and quit as soon as you get the call to come back.

Trainees actually have to go on zoom and check in tho. It’s not like they can disappear for weeks

In 2020 NATCA secured
12 weeks of paid parental leave
Paid excused absence
2.9% Raise
Annual 1.6% Raise
No RIF despite a massive reduction in traffic.

I’m genuinely curious why there are so many complaints about the union in a year that controllers have received so many benefits?
12 weeks of paid parental leave was incidental to correcting a loophole that excluded us from the rest of the workforce

Annual raise was for all federal employees

No federal agency experienced RIFs

So of the things you listed, the Slate Book raise was really the only thing applicable to NATCA BUMs only.

Some are some aren’t. But if you can’t figure out how to find work hours outside on your zooms then you probably can’t figure out how to separate 2 aircraft.
Ours have been randomly called to come in and do elms and stuff. Idk how many places are doing that but you can get caught big on that if you are out of state.

New hires who moved potentially across the country with their family making AG pay living paycheck to paycheck with no chance of advancing their career anytime soon, who would be upset?
You should be thankful you weren’t furloughed. I guess I just never saw any of the job listings for “sit on your ass for $50k and earn all leave during it.”

People aren’t doing anything because they aren’t allowed to, and it’s absolutely NATCA’s fault that they haven’t fought for some soltitioj for these people to return to training in a fucking YEAR. NATCA acts like those people don’t even exist, much less matter. They have no problem taking their dues though.
Great news...it’s January. It’s time to submit your form to leave the union.

You clearly haven't read through the thread, maybe you should do a little research before the whole "you should be thankful" bit, we've already covered that.

It’s the same crap that has been said for months. Just another completely useless employee who wants to pretend that they aren’t completely useless and how you should be making more money.

Hey if I want to take my kids to ride It's a small world so be it.

In all seriousness we've taken two trips to Disney (both were on AL) and I don't regret it, it was actually cleaner and better organized than a trip to Walmart or Target.

I’m at different facility than him. Mandatory 4 hours on Zoom 4 days a week.
that's doesn't leave you enough time to get another shit job to make ends meet? a job you can easily quit? im not saying its ideal.

that's happening to CPCs too, but do your elms and get back to your other job. you are getting paid to sit around, im not saying its ideal. and yes if you are stupid enough not to be recallable that's your own stupid fault and you should get in trouble.

People here are telling the trainees to go on trips and stuff. I’m just saying they can’t do some of these things cus they can get called in. I don’t think jobs are that easy to come by right now. And uber and Lyft are way down. Door dash could work but it’s prolly pretty saturated. I drove Lyft before the academy and it was ok but it was always so saturated with drivers.
