Hello everyone! I have been a lurker for a few years and finally made an account.

Took my test today and it was my 3rd time so I am hoping 3rd times the charm.

I am a Pool 1 Candidate and the first 2 Times I got Qualified each time, so I need that score to go up ⬆️ ⬆️ ?

My experience on the test today was that the Radar Simulation part seemed easier than the Job Test Practice on Hard setting.

I did I used ATCPrep the first 2 times and this time I tried JobTest Prep

Do you loose points if you answer a math question incorrectly vs not answering at all?

I am not sure if anyone has answered or asked this question yet, But does anyone have any idea of potential start date for this round of hiring considering we meet the qualifications?

Literally no set timetable.

Also wanted to say my first time I took it 2 years ago with my best friend and I came out of it feeling really good and confident and he came out feeling terrible and was upset because he messed up a lot.

From that bid he got BQ and I got Q.
Both Pool 1 candidates and I have some aviation licenses and an aviation job and he didn’t. I heard you get extra points or looked at more with licenses and such but who knows.

No. Nothing will give you a leg up if you’re pool 2. All HR cares about is your score. You could be a multi thousand hour ATP and it won’t help.

To me the real test was easier than Job test but I knew what I was expecting to do since it was my 3rd time. I thought I did really good even the first 2 times now I am not sure, I still feel good but you never know I don’t want to jinx it. Only thing I did different I know was the personality question part. I feel like that was slightly different but similar.

Just finished the test. Wow the atc simulation was ok, I still have 5-7 collisions.. I’m pretty concerned about that.. anyone have experience with that? I did some math questions and got some right and just guessed the bull of them. Speed was about medium in job.

Logical reasoning, I nearly ran out of time and guessed the last 7 questions. Not sure if anyone else is bracing for impact on that. This one is a crap shoot..

Everything else was spot on.. with few errors. I’ve gotten qualified before but I was in a panic state.. this time I was more relaxed… who knows how the faa grades these things. I’m 28 and about to age out soon. I already have a good job in government service but this is what I’d like to do. Either way, I feel happy to just sit and wait.

I can agree that logical reasoning felt like a crap shoot, I did not practice for it at all and I am with everyone else that feels like they were racing the clock. It doesn't help that it's the last test so it feels like by the time you take it your brain feels like it has melted.

Oops. In my defense I was pretty focused.

Took it today, the reading comprehension and deductive reasoning was the worst part because I ran out of time so quickly. You have like 10 minutes to go through all of the paragraphs and sentences, I don't see how anyone could fully read them thoroughly within the time constraints. Traffic collision was pretty easy, but the math was hard because it had decimal answers and other silly equations they wanted you to solve in 1 second practically. The multi equation section was also pretty hard, it flashes so quickly it's hard to remember the equation variables given to you. I think I still will score Q/BQ but you are definitely limit with time constraints on the test.

I randomly guessed everything that I couldn’t do/read the whole problem since I was just focusing not to crash the planes. Still had like about 5 collisions but I’d say I pretty much answered all the math problems. Scored BQ

I had only 2 collisions but I guessed on the vast majority of the math. Guess we'll see what happens. Impossible to tell until we get results.

Logical reasoning I was close to running out of time so I might have guessed only on 2 after reading passage super quick to answer. The beginning is Variables and has 8 sections of it meant to tire you out, idk if anyone has said that. But I felt like I answered hundreds of those variable questions lol. Also this was my 3rd time taking it and my reading passages were similar the past 2 yrs I remember reading them before.
