NATCA leadership on those leaving the union

So the guy who runs NCEPT openly advocates reprisal against controllers, but don't worry that stops at the waters edge of NCEPT... Lol! Paying attention yet?

I was also surprised it was only 16 too. It’s a small region though in a deep blue area of the country though so maybe lol. I know 20+ left at Atlanta approach too.

It would be interesting to see what the final number was nationally. I think that’s part of the reason why NATCA has been pushing contract towers to sign up more then they have in the past. If they add contract towers here and there and add a few members at each it would make the total number lost for the year look better.

Even though those contract NATCA members pay almost nothing in dues (1 hour per pay period), and most don’t even know what the PAC is, so NATCA is still loosing resources but the overall number of controller loses does not look as bad.

I think any faith the ‘average’ controller had in NATCA was destroyed during the COVID response, and subsequently refusing to re-negotiate the contract. Now it’s just the die-hard fanatics.

I feel like I could write a paper on this… Back in the Rinaldi days two members of the NEB vocally disagreed with the current leadership on multiple fronts, ran against Paul (with privatisation and NCEPT being core issues) and no one seemed to be remotely interested, I have never seen anyone ostracised and tossed to the curb so fast. When all members of the NEB agree unanimously some one is not thinking… Ugh I could write a massive paper on this… If I remember only 4,000-5,000 thousand votes out of 11,000 were cast.

A few years ago Bryan Zilonis from the Great Lakes Region tried to run against Rinaldi because there was no other candidate. If my memory serves right, if you were pro-Zilonis or even attended any Zilonis-related events, you were treated like a traitor by Rinaldi and co. Rinaldi ran a cutthroat campaign and it's no wonder he held onto power for so long. I don't think Santa is cut from the same cloth but he was definitely a handpicked candidate.

I don't remember if it was this or another thread but I agree with the poster who said we shouldn't treat the white book as a shield and shouldn't dwell in the past. The only way to make a significant change is through the belly of the beast. Get involved in some way and have a say in things. This is our union.

Yea those pathetic cucks only getting us instantly moved to 5 on 10 off for months. How dare they?!
But yea not even trying to renegotiate was pretty lame.
