2024 NATCA President Election

I asked for an answer about all these emails we get before the nomination period started and got a response. So if you plan on running, know that later after everyone else has got their head start, you plebes will be allowed to blast out emails as well. Probably well after everyone is sick of cheesy YouTube videos.

The timeline for 2024 election nomination period has not been set. In previous elections, inside the nomination period there have been channels to request emails for campaigning. The committee does understand the concern and will work on a response after we review and discuss the information.

In Solidarity,

NATCA National Election Committee
Do you respect the Raise when movement?

Afraid of what? Being lied to…

Same way most young military are afraid to speak to their commanders. Something in society has beaten them down and left them feeling inferior and as if they have no agency. That the elites know everything about everything not realizing that the RVP is just like them. Everyone smart knows that a small boat in the ocean can send big waves into motion and one match can create an explosion 🔥

I agree with what others said that any real bump in staffing won’t come for at least 5 years, and more realistically 10. Even if NATCA gets all it wants with major increases in funding for hiring, maybe even a second academy, who long would it take to implement that? The FAA still sucks at hiring procedures, HR takes long to get all but experienced controllers though pre-hiring, etc….

Maybe NATCA didn’t address pay until just recently because they secretly are counting on the shit staffing to resolve the pay issue? Bad staffing has meant record OT the last two years for me and countless others. With that I actually did keep pace with inflation, but only because I worked 120+ hours of OT each year.

Maybe they think we are too stupid to look at it that way? Or just know the long term expanded staffing plan is a pipe dream and didn’t expect people to rebel about pay.

As I mentioned once before, it’s been interesting to see the message from high NATCA evolve over ten year to be “this is the best job in the world”, to basically “this is not a bad job and the best job you are qualified for and able to do so just be thankful for it”.

The help that was promised isn’t coming.

The Calvary won’t be there.

We are the only help that is here, now, and for the next ten years.

I am willing, highly trained, and highly skilled, to keep the skies safe. I’ll work 6 day weeks.

But pay me so I can give my kids a head start in life at least. I will miss a lot of time with my family and friends and my own personal hobby time. So fucking pay me what I’m worth so it’s not for nothing.

In 5 years the number of retirements are going to skyrocket if no significant changes(pay) are implemented. People are tired of all the BS we’ve been dealing with since the white book. With that said pay probably isn’t even going to keep us around after eligibility when most people can replace their take home pay very easily in retirement.

Absolutely. I’ll learn to code and make more than I do currently while sleeping in, and checking zoom and gmail every few hrs while having a venti skinny soy latte with 5 pumps and a swirl

I called natca National the other day and asked to speak to the highest ranking member of the leadership, stating I’d been a dues paying member for almost 15 yrs

I got an admin assistant who took my info down and no one has gotten back to me

I wanna talk to some of these guys. They need to hear about the Razewen movement. Your boy is a junkyard dawg who hasn’t eaten for a few days
The first time I contacted NATCA national, some time in 2018 I believe, was when a nearby UAW plant was on strike and I inquired about actively showing solidarity on their picket line. I come from 3 generations of UAW members and I myself was a UAW member for a year before joining ATC, so the cause was somewhat personal to me.

The email chain bounced around between myself, the Director of Public Affairs, and the "Senior Social Media Associate" in which they told me NATCA wouldn't support me identifying myself as NATCA, but I should provide them with any potential pictures of it in the event they did want to publicize it.

That was strike one for me. I left after strike five. For everyone's sake I pray that you continue with your level of tenacity; it got to the point where I felt my only recourse was to reclaim my dues going forward.

Their office or Natca cell numbers are on the members side of NATCA.
