Maybe brother Rinaldi was talking about pay….

im not high on rinaldi, man. the whole reupping the contract thing + privatization talk, i am not high on rinaldi.

I get that nobody has a crystal ball and he couldn't have seen the massive inflation coming, but the timing seems so odd. And I feel our president needs to be fighting for more all the time. I mean controllers may look back and see this as a pivotal moment as to when this career took a turn for the worse. Why settle for less when we could get more?

Now we're in a horrible position where there could possibly be a republican president and we could get totally screwed in 2026 with the next contract. And we've been decimated by inflation for 3 years. We're caught with our pants down right now

Biden declared himself the most labor friendly president ever. Why did we not exploit that? Why are we not acting right now? Biden just gave a speech about the UAW strike saying how they deserve more of the profits. What about us? Amazon, UPS, all the airlines, they make money off our backs. We can't get a tiny cut of that?

Everything is negotiable at all times if you have the will to do it. As far as I'm concerned we should renegotiate the contract today and secure a pay bump for all controllers.

In the post covid inflationary US economy, 200k is the new 100k.

We may sadly be the last generation of controllers who can support a family without their significant other also working...

That would be....unwise

btw, what the fuck is 27,000 taka? 🤣

RAZE HAU? needs to be the new follow up tag line to all these videos. I love what they say but it’s the same guys who congratulated us on the contract extension, said there was nothing else to reasonably ask for, and never said one word about pay as of 5 1/2 days ago.

BTW - sell out the contract towers if you need to for FAA member raises. NATCA never cared about FCT anyway, those people only pay 1 hour per pay period in dues, not the standard 1.5 or whatever percent, so NATCA makes no money on them, they only did a push to gain more FCT members over the years to hold steady the number of overall members since FAA members were leaving over pay, NCEPT, COVID policy, etc…..
I wouldn’t say in the ballpark of a million dollars in dues from FCT members is “no money” by your calculation. Given the representation we get from NATCA as it stands, I’d argue it’s too damn much.

Not sure if your argument is “fuck contract NATCA controllers” or simply that NATCA doesn’t give a shit about FCT controllers in general. But let’s put it this way, in return for paying my dues I have received:

No TSP/fair retirement matching
Shit medical insurance
Shit leave accrual
No sick days
No locality pay
Dogshit COLA
Shit staffing (shittier than most places)
Little to no breaks/insane ToP
No pension
No elected FCT rep at the bargaining table

So yeah, fuck you and your extra .5x dues paid.

Spitefully,

An FCT facrep who’s been bitching about these things for 5 years now to deaf ears

P.S. Not gonna let it create divide amongst the ranks because frankly, you don’t know what you don’t know and that’s fine. But you gon learn today.

P.P.S. I could be completely misinterpreting your message and if so, I’m an asshole so don’t come at me.

Personally, I think making distinctions from fct, levels, cip, etc is a tactical mistake. It's all chaff that is distracting from our main goal which is MORE PAY FOR ALL CONTROLLERS. I don't need to put any controller down, in fact, it's stupid, we need more pay for all of us, united.

We are only strong together, divided we fall. Isn't this so obvious? Military tactics 101, DIVIDE AND CONQUER

Luckily we’re paying CIP to all those well staffed facilities in Detroit!
DTW Double Level Downgrade = Paycheck actually razed
As far as I'm aware lots of these places were bought up and have been gentrified heavily, couldn't tell you anything about the cost of living but that doesn't mean much either
There has been small movement in pockets here and there, but honestly you're talking about a few hundred houses fixed-up against literally tens of thousands that are in decay or some form of ruin. I heard someone describe it before as a "40 year no-rain hurricane" and hearing it put that way slapped me across the face with truth.

I'm originally from Monroe county, which is directly between Detroit and Toledo. Crack, heroin, meth, and fentanyl ran through like wildfire and decimated what the economy couldn't. But poverty has always been high and squalor a part of everyday life. I was fortunate that this was the house I grew up in off my dad's UAW Ford income and my mom working part-time as a secretary, which was close to "normal" for my rural area:
(3 bedroom, 1 bathroom for 4 of us, 1000 square feet, cellar/unfinished basement, 1 acre, 2 car barn in the back)

(We had a gravel driveway and small vegetable garden where they have all the overgrown landscaping, but mostly unchanged otherwise)

And this was one of my classmates' home just a quarter mile down our country road:

And I'm not lying when I tell you this street view picture looks WAY better than how it used to look from when I grew up.

I think a lot gets lost when we talk about "average" Americans and what things look like for them. For the ~7 million people living in the Detroit and Toledo region, the above houses are samples closer to the statistical median than the typical "average" American idea most of us like to picture in our heads.

The neon glow of the radar scope cast long shadows across the worn-out face of Richie League, an air traffic controller stuck in the perpetual dusk of 2030. Overworked and underpaid, his fingers danced frantically over the keyboard, guiding the metal birds through the congested skies. His days were an endless blur of blinking lights and frantic voices, while his nights were swallowed by the chaos of a messy, disarrayed home. Three restless kids, toys strewn about like wreckage, and a wife worn down by her own double shift at the diner. They were a lonely couple, transplants from a distant hometown, driven to this cold, impersonal city by the promise of a paycheck and NCEPT that barely kept their heads above water.

As Richie's eyes darted between screens, news flashes from the world outside intruded upon his thoughts. The mega-corporations, the likes of Raytheon and Amazon, had just announced record-breaking profits once again. Their coffers overflowing, while his own family's finances hung by a thread. The irony of it all weighed heavy on his weary shoulders, a cruel reminder of the world's injustices. In this city of steel and secrets, Richie’s dreams were but faint echoes in the thunder of jet engines, and he clung to his job like a drowning man to a lifebuoy, praying it would be enough to steer their lives back on course.

Raise when? he thought to himself.....

A question from the RAZE WEN MVMNT to our elected leaders:

we ask you, RAZE WEN?

you tell us, RAZE NAU,

we ask: RAZE HAU?

Luckily we’re paying CIP to all those well staffed facilities in Detroit!
So this guy just creates new accounts

You stole my thunder. I was waiting for the inevitable “why are you still FCT or in the union” question then hittem with the uno reverse “so I can outrank you day one” 😂

Damn these pesky union rules and their handcuffing of younger controllers

I guess to use their own ammo against them:

Agency Contoller: Why aren't you rushing to get into the agency, if you don't get benefits?

Me: Well, I get to sit on my ass all day apparently doing nothing, while only paying 1 hour per pay period in dues, and I'm still gaining seniority. 🤷

It’s not my fault people agree with me. Wtf do you have against me and the Raise Now movement? Go cry to MJ for the third time and have him run an IP check if you think I have multiple accounts here, whiny dork
You have to be a fucking retard or something. Where did I quote anything you said or is Fat Porrey also your account?

He doesn’t even like if a tower is a level he thinks is too high. He wants controllers to make less
Crazy bro. We all have our differences from time to time but he’s legit acting like an enemy to controllers. Shit, if he’s a controller im arguing for him. Although the more posts of his I see, the more it seems he’s some kind of FAA lackey/shill/middle manager 👀
