the FAA is funded mostly by the airport and airways trust fund, which receives revenue from passenger taxes, fuel and cargo taxes, right?

US airlines are on track to carry 1 BILLION PAX this year. Not even counting international carriers. If we raise the tax by ONE DOLLAR per ticket to fund raises for our overworked and understaffed ATC, we could have $1B extra for the payroll.

Divided by what, 13,000 controllers? We are looking at a $75,000 raise PER CPC.

Don't let them tell you there's no money for raises, for increased OT rates, better differentials. There are plenty of opportunities to find money outside of the federal pay caps. Give every controller a $10,000 cash award right fucking now for the past 15 years of mistreatment. Raise the ticket tax by ONE DOLLAR!!
These are all good ideas, or even a lower (by lower I mean at least a 10% permanent one time blanket raise) and $5,000 inflation adjustment payments twice a year like the UAW is asking for for a period of no shorter then 3 years.

Hell, they could lobby for a $2.75 cent raise to the tax and the flying public wouldn't even notice it. Then you have $1 BILLION for air traffic payroll, $1 BILLION for facility improvements and modernization of our dumpster fire equipment, and $750 million to open an east and west coast academy to triple the output of new hires and actually FIX staffing.

Fuck the improvements. I’ll use smoke signals for 500k a year

Idk sounds like communism

We’re 24 pages in and I’m zagging to raise a probably irrelevant question that I haven’t seen addressed - LeBovidge, like Slick Rick, seems to have the charisma of a gym shoe, but why is he stepping aside for this fucking used car salesman to use the mailing list and run for his spot?
He’s aging out/retiring.

Any more info on how they’re allowed to use the listservs and put out campaign materials now?

Technically, it’s not a listserv from the union. Instead, they’ve obtained your email addresses from an undisclosed source and then input them into Constant Contact, an online marketing company.

The crux of the matter is that this practice goes against the election guidance issued by the Department of Labor, which prohibits giving any group an unfair advantage, such as scraping email addresses from the NATCA portal.

Since we’re not currently in an election period, the election committee, which handles these matters, cannot or will not take action. This includes the simple solution of granting equal access to the listserv for all those wishing to campaign before nominations are made and accepted, even though the listserv is technically inactive.

NATCA’s privacy policy also doesn’t align with this use of member email addresses, but they haven’t responded to my inquiries.

So, the significant question is: where did they obtain everyone’s email addresses, and how did they do it? Your facility representatives are not permitted to release your email addresses in this manner.

Today, I spoke with someone from the DC office of the FLRA, and they have directed me to contact someone at the DOL.

I reached out to Nick and I guess he thinks I am kind of sus, so uh… that just leaves you. Expect your questions today or tomorrow. Also I need to give you my cell.

Here’s some food for thought:

So, just to clarify, you are running for office?

I intend to run for the office of the president as a third-party outsider, aiming to represent the average controller, which I am.

However, as of now, I can only express my intention, as NATCA national has not yet opened the nomination period.

In the meantime, I’m actively seeking answers and accountability regarding the release of our emails for the other campaigns. I also believe in opening the list serve early for all candidates, rather than just those who have somehow gained access to everyone’s email.

I advocate for adhering to Department of Labor guidelines to ensure a fair election, which includes giving each candidate an equal voice in the process.

One term and done? He found a more efficient path to the GoFundMe/consulting part of his career.
Current NATCA rules state all NEB members have to be able to complete their terms before they age out. He’d turn 56 somewhere within a presumptive next 3-year term, and is therefore ineligible.

Thats cuz they're nothing but a grifting open bar/steak dinner (thx for your dues) hit on female NATCA members bullshitters. Running mate has been sucking off the tit of a cushy capped out A114 detail on the scam ass NTI, and has never even been a trainer. Oh yeah and literally sucker punches members too, but these are minor details. Silver lining would be as far as breaking barriers & glass ceilings it would be the first EVP washout in NATCA history. Stunning and brave.

His campaign has been begging members to send in self made videos so that theirs can be "by the people" (the ones they get drunk w on your dime at every event) but certainly not for the people.

RAZE WEN, NAU, HAU!

The 114s make they’re base salary from the facility of record.
