Wow the green Christmas promise didn’t come through? I’m shocked!
People need to take their green back and get out of NATCA. File those SF1188 next month. That’s guaranteed green.
Will see if Nick and Jamal have anything to say regards to that latest Mick video. I’m guessing not they look like they tow the line….get involved be happy with what you have BS.

You’re advocating for a weaker union, for a reduced wage, for worse working conditions.

As opposed to the status quo where we had a weak ass leadership that didn't bargain for raises or improved working conditions last contract? Change has to happen whether it's by people quitting, voting the current leadership out, or starting another union with blackjack and hookers.

I don’t think there will ever be another union but NATCA, if they don’t get a major raise next year however they have to do it, will see a major dropout in 2025 of general members but also some loyalists who were doing volunteer stuff for them for years, and it will continue from there.

Eventually NATCA will be similar to PASS. The worthless Tech Ops union. They won’t have credibility on the hill, won’t have real collective bargaining, for better or worse collaboration degrades, some facilities will barley know who the Rep is because it won’t matter, a PAC under half of what it is now, no advertising all over DC and at sports games, etc…..

PASS stood up and fought for telework and AGAINST privatization which raised eyebrows for quite a few of my friends, this stance alone increased the amount of members that are "active." NATCA refused to address telework and came out in support of privatization...

I still think privatization was a good idea, it would have given us more opportunity to fix pay. PASS did stand out against it but they were basically one of a dozen or so minor unions who signed form letters against it. PASS gets no real respect on its own, it is a slow burn but NATCA might be headed there too.

Regarding telework, I think it’s a scam but it each their own. It was annoying though how NATCA supported the vaccine mandate without saying it, then supported ending any COVID related benefits also without saying it.

Reminds me of Martha Stewart who took money to do commercials to promote masks, social distancing and vaccines during COVID, and is now one of the main business leaders speaking against working at home since she figured out it hurts her bottom line and the “working at home is just as productive as being there” studies during COVID were just complete lies and made up and funded by the same organizations saying masks worked.

I think this is what will eventually happen to NATCA. When you collaborate too much, get involved in too many different aspects of the job and loose sight of the basics that the members want people eventually give up hope and leave the union.
That last video really was icing on the cake that NATCA dropped the ball and now it’s been a decade or more (red book) with zero resolution to fix pay.

They should also make the NACTA elections occur 6-12 months after when we have to bargain a new contract. Contract is shit? Get voted out immediately.
Most unions can vote no on a shit contract, but NATCA took that away too, and made a mockery of the amendment and the man who wrote it at convention which would have given us power to vote on potential contract extensions.
