2024 NATCA President Election

You may get an idea of how the next contract negotiations will turn out as early as this year. The extensions for the Light Blue (2011 - mostly Region X) and Purple (2013 - some Region X, some staff 2152s) Books, which were signed at the same time as for the Slate Book, expire in July 2024. I have to believe the union has already been conducting mock negotiation sessions.
Anyone know whatā€™s going on? Are they sneaking in more extensions or negotiating???

This will be the test for what they plan to do with the Slate Book come 2025ā€¦.
I would hope negotiating. I haven't heard if they have decided to "open" negotiations yet. Between both contracts they represent about a quarter or so of all NATCA membership. Like you, I'm closely looking at the purple book, because it covers SSS. SSS pay structure mirrors 2152s covered under the Slate book. So NATCA may not be able to open the Slate Book until 25' or 26' but all of those same issues can be addressed NOW and with this union/labor friendly administration. Things such as; pay band structures, TCI formula, OT, premium pay, CIP, and much more are actually on the table right NOW.
Do they kick the can and sell out on a quarter of their membership or do they lay the ground work for huge wins for the majority of us down the road that reshapes the future of this career. Honestly, if I was a SSS and they didn't deliver, I would be gone. NATCA already treats them like second class citizens that can't earn good time even if they stay current and work position.
According to a Rep I am in contact with who asked about it:

If negotiations aren't officially opened by February 2nd then both the Purple and Light Blue books automatically go into a 1 year extension (something about 150 days prior to expiration being an automatic trigger). And allegedly NATCA doesn't want to open up negotiations because they think they will lose more than they will gain.

If that's true, I'll just be speechless at their fecklessness more than anything.

Although, if the auto-extension occurs and ya'll can get jdatc in there to straighten things out a bit... who knows.

If this automatic extension gets triggered,
Santa might as well get ready to go start talking to airplanes or get his retirement paperwork ready.
Fuck them all and their pussy asses. What ā€œgood thingsā€ could they lose by opening it up. So many things are govā€™t wide benefits.

If thatā€™s the reason: we might lose some things and/or possibly having to negotiate during a bad administration that they arenā€™t doing their jobs they have unequivocally become irrelevant and people should be submitting their SF1188 NOW!
January 31st deadline to submit!

If this theoretical extension occurs (can't wait for that celebratory email šŸ™„), that has to be the official white flag waving for Santa right? Just pack in his campaign, admit he's terrified of the FAA, and just drift off into some sort of overpaid "consulting" gig. What a turd.

Additionally, Daniels and Jamaal would deserve to have their balls (or lack thereof) roasted over a fire by every facility they visit from then out. Nick being on the eboard means he had better have one hell of an explanation as to what he personally would have and will do differently. I'm rather tired of the social media buzzwords.

If true... unbelievable... wow

NATCA would never sell you out like that.

NATCA is about to not have an identity when they drift off into unions of no legitimacy: PASS, NATCA.

SF1188 due by 1/31/24.

Bet on new videos coming from Daniels and Haltom. They have yet to address their current views on contracts coming due this July. Step up or they bitches too.

I agree with all that, I guess I donā€™t want to believe it but Iā€™m 99% sure itā€™s true. I am going to hold off on the SF1188 for one more year but Iā€™ll be passing them out at my facility in January 2025 if they extend the contract because they are scared Trump wins.

Also I think the PASS analogy is great, NATCA is about to be as relevant as those losers.

Why can't we terminate Renaldi's consulting gig and use that money to hire someone from the Auto or Airlines union to actually help negotiate against Trump? Scared money don't make no money.
Thatā€™s what I say when someone says JD doesnā€™t have experience. Imagine if we actually had someone on tv selling our case

They only like going on tv for government shutdowns cause itā€™s easy, we arenā€™t getting paid pay us.
They lost the good fight when they thought collaboration was the answer and buzz. Collaborate to the death of the union.
Bring us more Recurrent baby!

Collaboration is the biggest scam of all time. A bunch of people sit around and then the FAA just does what they want anyways. They send all collaborators back to the floor

Southwest got 300 dollars an hour because they authorized a strike. UAW got everything they got because they actually executed a strike. If we could strike weā€™d all make double. Somebody should work in that at the next NiW.
So how did the tsa get a raise? How to the jailers get a huge bonus? Come on man

There other federal benefits we donā€™t get. Did you know the federal government can repay student loans 10k per year up to 60k. Why donā€™t we get that?

You need to keep us abreast of the situation, itā€™s the best indicator of how they will handle the slate book.

Youā€™re saying you donā€™t want the right to strike? Or Z guys can type but they canā€™t read? I just said if we could strike we would make more money. Pretty simple. And as a side note thatā€™s completely unrelated to anything I wrote earlier: tsaā€™s raise happened to catch them up after years of no growth.

Iā€™m saying we can still get a raise even without striking as other agencies are doing just that.
