Then why are they sucking at hiring with current staffing numbers which we are no where near 100 staffing on old numbers?!Crwg is how the agency gets money from congress to staff

Do you really think all the legislative work is done only at NiW? How dense are youIs NiW gonna go when Congress is in session this time?
My goodness man, do you ever just sit and think critically about the shit you say? Do you really think the public will respond to NATCA selling our case on TV the way they do with auto union workers? That’s what I say when someone says JD doesn’t have experience. Imagine if we actually had someone on tv selling our case
We can’t depend on NATCA for shit. They sold their souls to the FAA in the spirit on collaboration. My goodness man, do you ever just sit and think critically about the shit you say? Do you really think the public will respond to NATCA selling our case on TV the way they do with auto union workers?
The general public will do one google search and see the median ATC salary pay and all the close calls and bs articles. The general public wasn’t on our side during the PATCO strike and they won’t be in the future. We can’t depend on the general public for leverage.
I think we have a high skilled job that the public appreciates. I’m not a self hating controller. My goodness man, do you ever just sit and think critically about the shit you say? Do you really think the public will respond to NATCA selling our case on TV the way they do with auto union workers?

No but I think when they go for their yearly steak trip they can go when the actual reps are in town. Is that too crazy?Do you really think all the legislative work is done only at NiW? How dense are you
Two questions:We can’t depend on NATCA for shit. They sold their soles to the FAA in the spirit on collaboration.
They could try and sell fatigue, working conditions, OT abuse, short staffing.
When planes get delayed regularly it will affect enough people.
It could have started for a good reason but we can see that it’s now going down a bad path. Two questions:
When did the “collaboration” start?
Why did the “collaboration” start?
This is the key point, upping the numbers will not help hiring, that is the true stopping point. There was funding for “max hiring” of 1800 people a year for almost a decade and they hit the mark one time. The talk to increase hiring by creating something like a second academy is simply insane. Then why are they sucking at hiring with current staffing numbers which we are no where near 100 staffing on old numbers?!
The bad path is no collaboration at all and the FAA telling the union to go fuck their self on every single issue, including pay decreases. You all are upset at a 5% increase imagine getting a pay cut like they received during the white book.It could have started for a good reason but we can see that it’s now going down a bad path.
This is wrong. This is the first year it was up to 1800. Y’all really need to spend 5 minutes researching this shit because y’all sound ignorant and spread ignorance. This is the key point, upping the numbers will not help hiring, that is the true stopping point. The current climate is not in favor of the federal government and federal spending. And they are definitely not in favor of federal employees.I think we have a high skilled job that the public appreciates. I’m not a self hating controller.

The bean counters refuse to recognize the staffing crisis. They haven’t even kept up with attrition. The point of the crwg is it cuts them outThen why are they sucking at hiring with current staffing numbers which we are no where near 100 staffing on old numbers?!
What do shoes have to do with anything? 😉We can’t depend on NATCA for shit. They sold their soles to the FAA in the spirit on collaboration.

I suppose red book? Obama said get your shit together after the white book. At the time red book then slate was an improvement. Two questions:

Only the scammers are this worried about credit hours. No one should be working for free right now. Make them pay 1.5x alwaysI suppose red book? Obama said get your shit together after the white book. At the time red book then slate was an improvement.
I’d give up credit hours and dress code in a minute for better negotiated
Paybands.
What is NATCA afraid to lose?
Agreed. It’s a good benefit for the 4 hour earners, I like it but would give that up easily for more pay.Only the scammers are this worried about credit hours. No one should be working for free right now. Make them pay 1.5x always
Because this is the first year the FAA legitimately admitted there was a staffing crisis. It took a decade plus for them to do it. Every year they would state they made their hiring goal and wash their hands and move on because finance wants to operate on the absolute least they can. Then why are they sucking at hiring with current staffing numbers which we are no where near 100 staffing on old numbers?!
Correct, Obama’s executive order mandated the FAA and NATCA collaborate.I suppose red book? Obama said get your shit together after the white book. At the time red book then slate was an improvement.

And it’s going to take years to fix. There is no quick fix as much as we all hate it, it’s the reality we live inBecause this is the first year the FAA legitimately admitted there was a staffing crisis. It took a decade plus for them to do it. Every year they would state they made their hiring goal and wash their hands and move on because finance wants to operate on the absolute least they can.
Terri Bristol was spitting the same rhetoric in 2016 to the senate as the FAA COO did this year. All of the political pressure and articles shined a light on their ineptitude where the masses could see. They could get by before because the average person isn’t watching C-SPAN. But everyone sees Facebook and Twitter posts and watches Fox News and CNN.
It took years of getting lawmakers exposed to the situation and then years for them to force the FAA to do something
Collaborate all they want. At the end of the day NATCA needs to negotiate for better working conditions and benefits.Correct, Obama’s executive order mandated the FAA and NATCA collaborate.
