Anyone see the new Danials/Haltom video today? It’s really good, explains that they now have email access to membership to send out communication, apparently candidates were not suppose to do it until January 1st.

Also Haltom calls out Devine for shilling for the contract and now saying it sucks, which is great. I can’t believe it didn’t get more attention when Devine in a video said something like “I had to promote the contract as a NEB member, but now that I’m a candidate I can speak more freely how I feel about it” lol.
Any 'hard hitting' details on anything?
 
Sounds like something similar to what PATCO was thinking circa ‘81. With that being said, current politicians don’t have the balls given their obsession with public optics in a very divided political climate..

Lastly, don’t confuse what I’m saying. We need a raise.
Given the military individuals I have seen work traffic, I promise you it is not a viable alternative in todays environment.
 
Can't you all see they're trying to sucker us just like presidential politics. Our union election is becoming like Biden v Trump. How about we don't vote for either of the people currently serving in our unions national level. It will just be more of the same no matter which one you choose. How about we vote for the guy who has the balls to jump out of an airplane in a wing suit and hasn't been corrupted.
 
It's on their NDJH instagram. Unfortunate to hear from Jamal that they're not gonna do anything about the contract "until its time to negotiate the contract" so those of you who are hoping for something with pay, or a "Raise When?" can wait at least 2 more years!
Might be a dumb question but do you have to wait for the next contract to negotiate pay? That’s the only time it can be changed?
 
According to a Rep I am in contact with who asked about it:

If negotiations aren't officially opened by February 2nd then both the Purple and Light Blue books automatically go into a 1 year extension (something about 150 days prior to expiration being an automatic trigger). And allegedly NATCA doesn't want to open up negotiations because they think they will lose more than they will gain.

If that's true, I'll just be speechless at their fecklessness more than anything.

Although, if the auto-extension occurs and ya'll can get jdatc in there to straighten things out a bit... who knows.
Email was sent out yesterday to Region X members. NATCA provided notice to the FAA that they intend to open the Region X CBAs.

I was frustrated to learn that NATCA will not be renegotiating the Light Blue & Purple Books in full. Instead, they will select only a limited number of articles from the existing CBAs and attempt to negotiate changes to those.

If they fix the pay article I don’t think anyone will care if the rest is renewed. They did something similar with Midwest FCT and got an instant 3% raise and annual 3% raises though 2027.

Would you be happy with the that? I would with a 3% June raise but we need a minimum of a 10% instant raise to pull us even with 2020 buying power.

Agree. I feel like if the entire slate book rolled over but we got an instant 10% with 3% every June I bet a majority would be pretty happy.

The real shame of the matter is that they can use the listservs no problem to blast out surveys regarding their elections, but not to ask the membership what's important to them.

It blows my mind how someone can be so against being paid more. How can you rationalize that our pay is commensurate with the current and foreseeable market conditions? How can you be satisfied with the current formula method that determines our pay?

I had a friend tell me about being paid a monthly allotment to have his dispatcher cert (requirement to even get/perform the job) when he was hired on with SWA years ago. A dispatcher on reddit posted a google doc that has all of that info listed for all of these airlines. I think it would be pretty great for natca to try and work on something like that for everyone keeping currency.

While that list is bad-ass the reality is what NATCA WILL ACTUALLY FIGHT FOR AND EXTRACT FROM THE FAA.

30% yeah highly doubtful.
3% every June should be achievable
Sat premium should definitely happen.

CIC and OJTI increase don't see an issue with that.

Tiered OT is what I would add to that list
 
Less about premiums more about money that will count towards your retirement, you are retired for around the same time as working. In alot of cases more time getting paid in retirement.
This... and I'd also add to the list about tiered OT... since staffing isn't going to improve anytime soon... have OT and other premiums count towards retirement.
 
The monthly currency bonus is a great idea.

$500 a month paid after the month.

And supervisors don’t get it. Not for keeping currency at 4 hours a position for the month.
2152s should be rewarded for keeping currency. Get rid of CIP and institute a currency bonus for ALL controllers. 2152 and maintaining currency, here's your monthly bonus. If you are on a detail, "supervisor," office worker, or aren't a 2152 sorry about your luck.
