This is a bullshit political ploy laid out by Santa and Devine. Literally no one is extend for ever that’s a total lie. The vote was a charade so they could twist it on the internet. It was specific to a make believe scenario where Whitaker called Santa tomorrow and said extend once now or forever hold your peace. And this was after they were briefed by our legislative team that Trump is highly likely to win. And btw Rich agreed with ‘extend under Trump’ at the time of this vote.

In April the membership started being Poll’d in a few regions that actually care what their membership think after Nick motioned the contract had to be extended. The polls showed overwhelmingly that the members didn’t want an extension. Whether Rich wanted to extend or not he looked at the the overwhelming majority of the members opinion and said ok you want us tonight we’ll fight.

You know who didn’t poll their members and see what they really wanted? Team NDJH. Their narcissism wouldn’t allow them to do it. They said we do not care what you want we’ll do what we want. You know who else didn’t receive a poll, any of the regions who’s RVP weaponized the NEB against our current President because Nick told them not to poll their members.

Rich listened to what the members wanted and was grown up enough to take up that charge. Nick and Jamaal doubled down and went with we are going to hope the FAA agrees to a random MOU for significantly more pay. If it were that easy why didn’t any other federal union president in the past just write MOUs to get all the members significantly more money? Because it won’t work.

Two candidates gave the members a voice and listened to them, that’s Rich and Mick.

I didn't spin anything. Whitaker's term began Oct of 2023. If he serves his full 5 years, his term ends Oct of 2028. If Trump wins, his term would end Jan of 2029. There is always the possibility Whitaker resigns prior to the end of his term. But, it is highly likely no matter who is president, NATCA would be negotiating in 2026 with Whitaker.

NATCA thinks they are so big and great….but wanna be chickens when it comes to Trump and the possibility of that scenario. Even if Trump won it wouldn’t expire until 2.5 years into his administration…wouldn’t a no negotiation trigger a one year extension automatically like they have talked about for the Blue and Purple books in the past….
Trump would be a disaster again and likely a Dem would win in 2029, all that to say fuck any thought of an extension.
