If the things we lose are A114 details and stay at home, report to nobody details for those in the upper echelon of the Union, is that really a loss for the overall membership?
I think most members would be happy to trade in the Scammers for a significant pay raise. Too many people at too many critically short staffed facilities are getting paid way too much to do way too little work. People should not be going 5 years + off the floor, all while counting in the numbers. Im aware thats not all thats in jeopardy of being lost, and the EO's are not good for labor....but they aren't a reason to never ask for more pay. If thats the case, why should anyone be in the Union? If the stance of NATCA is that this is the best we can get because a Republican regime is scary, then it sounds like they're not doing anything for me with my dues.
A 2029 extension makes the Slate Book the contract for 14-15 years, over half of a Controllers career in the FAA. Thats nuts to agree to, without putting it up to a membership vote, which the Scammers shot down immediately at the last convention none of us who actually work traffic went to.
