Your children are already part of these issues. They are growing up in a world which has trans people in it. The world is a confusing and complicated place so we simplify things when we can, and then later on we explain that actually there's more to the story.

I'm hearing about 4 and 5 year olds identifying as trans in my local community. I agree, they're already into the thick of it. But 4 and 5 year olds?! Seeing videos of children attending pride parades watching drag queens strip to nothing but a thong on. This shouldn't be legal, it's pedophilia ideology. This is what we have an issue with.

(Tough I will say that young children can be extremely adaptable and understanding. "We thought your cousin was a girl but it turns out we were wrong, he's actually a boy." "Oh okay. Can I have a cookie now?" Not everything has to be a big scary deal.)

Maybe some time in the future one of your children will realize that they themselves are trans. If that happens are you going to disown them, berate them, tell them they're worthless or sinful or an abomination? Or are you going to accept them for who they tell you they are?

Growing up, my aunt looked like a dude and so did her partner. When I was 10 I found out through my parents that her partner was in fact not a man and that they were lesbian. There is a natural way for children to figure out the world around them, but finding out about lgbtq in a school setting is inappropriate.

If my kid finds out they don't identify the gender they were born, then as a parent it's my responsibility to wait until they fully mature before allowing them to mutilate their body. Most people don't even know what they want to do for the rest of their lives at 18, but they somehow know who they want to be before then? We need to go back to when gender dysphoria was taken more seriously in which therapy is given to figure out the root issues in these people's lives instead of a cash grab for greedy doctors to medicate kids after speaking with them for 5 minutes.

Most of this sounds like made up bullshit from right wing propaganda. 4 and 5 year olds? That's pre-kindergarten age. There are zero schools teaching anything about it to kids that age. If any such kids exist, its the parents that taught them.

Any kids going to pride parades with drag queens are doing so with the approval of their parents, unless maybe it's older kids who went there of their own accord.

Most people aren't getting too/bottom surgery before they're 18 what are you talking about. Stuff like puberty blockers aren't permanent. It's crazy that you'd rather have people kill themselves because they aren't comfortable in their body than let people "mutilate" themselves. Lying to people by affirming their delusions does hurt them…. If you truly love somebody, you tell them the truth. Also, again, nobody here gives a rats ass what an adult trans person chooses to do… but what is on the table is ideologues like you demanding that everybody concede that these people actually ARE what they claim. We will not abandon basic biology and simple truth to appease your need to appear inclusive or somebody’s need to feel accepted. Abandoning the reality of men and women has massive societal impacts.

You wouldn’t tell a schizophrenic person that the voices in their head are real and you hear them too.

You wouldn’t tell a 90lb person suffering from body dysmorphia and anorexia that their perception of being overweight is true.

You wouldn’t tell a white person who thinks they are black that they are actually are black.

Why do we tell men who think they are women “Oh yes! You really are a woman. You’re so brave.”

Also, the suicide rate is high. It doesn’t improve after they transition. It’s clear they are suffering from mental issues and affirming their delusions does them a disservice.

But I’ll save you the time… you’re just gonna call me a transphobe and proceed with your infatuation with appearing virtuous.

The difference between you and me is that I’m interested in the truth at the cost of being falsely accused of “hatred.” You are interested in having people perceive that you are “tolerant” at the cost of abandoning reality.
