We will complain that we can’t get our ERR to Denver Tower and we will also complain about a new vacancy at Denver Tower
Who’s complaining about a new vacancy and DEN tower? Hell before you know it the agency will look at the dozens of ERRs for there and probably fill that seat with an academy grad with the way you NATCA butt-buddies “collaborate.” 🤡

There’s certainly too much toxic bullshit out there with controllers complaining about what others do with their careers but my god what a fucking choke slam for all those out there that desperately want just one of those opportunities.

There’s WAY too many people stuck at low level shithole up/downs (that NATCA couldn’t give less of a fuck about) that would about kill for an opportunity to just enter training at places like that for this to make sense. There is no way you can articulate to me that that kind of facility hopscotch is fair and equitable.

It is not posted anywhere that a normal CPC can find it. You have to submit a FOIA request and then six months from now you'll finally be provided a redacted version.

People who do that often come back and post them to the relevant NCEPT thread here, because they're nice.

You’re grasping at straws now. I never said we should stop ERRs. I do think we should rethink the NCEPT SOP and change things to be more fair and equitable for others to have a better shot at other facilities in general.

And I wasn’t even talking about or implicated the declination king guy going to IAH so not sure why that was brought up.
 
If you got rid of NCEPT the FAA would be forced to pay for bids to people to go places like they used to. Move money bonuses. Term positions. We have zero leverage by agreeing to NCEPT. Return transferring to the free market!

If it bothers you so much you should call your RVP and tell them that we, the dipshit internet trolls, want more restrictions on movement. And although the data shows the exact opposite what we think the BU really needs is less vacancies at the high towers.

That’s National Release Policy not NCEPT. The NCEPT SOP allowed green controllers to go to almost the entire NAS. 91% of facilities had picks.

The Agency hates the C90/N90 bids. Anything like that has to be negotiated and it’s not easy. They don’t want more of them. The easy way is to just spam new hires at it.
If you’re a heartless careerist at HQ a great way to make a name for yourself would be to kill all movements and just fill every vacancy with a new hire. And if they ever fix the OKC disaster it’ll be easier to pull off

Funny, it’s always people like you at a high level Z or core 30 and coincidentally a NATCA rep that have a problem with opinions of those who would actually like to make things better…

And the NCEPT SOP is what lays out all of this, including the NRP’s application. Sure, the NRP itself is what explains explicitly what the current policy is, but I believe change(s) to make NCEPT more fair and equitable would happen in the SOP itself to promote movement across more facilities, not just those with good staffing. That wouldn’t be via the NRP.

Submission date has no bearing on who is selected. It all comes down to manager's rankings on the panel. The only time submission date is used as a tiebreaker is if 2 people from the same facility both get selected to go to the same facility on the same panel, then the person who submitted first gets the earlier release date.

If while working at Walmart you can go on the computer behind the firewall and update your employee profile, click a drop down to select all the specific Walmart locations you'd like to transfer to, and hit submit, then why can't we? The website could auto filter to the appropriate HR person depending on the region and done. Same with USAjobs posting for INTRAagency transfers. Why do I need to send an 11 page resume that USAjobs built? I already work for you!

You can on USA jobs. Why are we being blocked from openings we qualify for.

The NCEPT process is burdensome because NCEPT doesn't benefit the agency, therefore there is no incentive for them to make it easier to use.
