Of the selections shared here, it seems to have happened once: A year ago, supposedly someone wanted ZLC, 2 others selected it in front of them, and because they couldn't live anywhere else (for whatever reasons) they chose to resignLots of 2x with this new system which I guess makes sense when you have 10+ people passing a class. Has anyone gotten cockblocked from their desired Z yet, because 2 others chose it ahead of them?
Pass rates dont include those that quit, just those that evaluated.Duffy’s been saying that academy students have been quitting during the shutdown. The pass rate doesn’t seem to be taking a massive hit though. Do they usually count anybody that quits midway?
I've been keeping track of the information posted here, class by class, since the new selection process went into effect back in June 2024. The dataset is at 90 classes of these last posts. If there is any curiosity on where people are choosing, this is how people have placed (via data from this thread):

I mean, aren't LA and NYC the largest metro areas in the country? Doesn't seem weird to me at allDoes this include mandatory placements? ZLA and ZNY seem crazy high while ZAN and ZOA got almost no one. Though I do remember seeing several clasesses with multiple ZNY and ZLA volunteers.
Ignoring any of the "special" facilities, the remaining figures seem to roughly correspond to larger metro areas getting more AGs (ZHU, ZAU) and smaller metro areas getting less (ZID, ZOB) etc.
Crazy that people might want to go to a center that's (roughly) close to home.
Yes they do. I do highlight the Cat B facilities, like ZME in the last three listed classes. It would take a minute but I could break out those that I know are forced Cat B selections. These were selections I noted when the facilities were listed as Cat B:Does this include mandatory placements? ZLA and ZNY seem crazy high while ZAN and ZOA got almost no one.
