Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

Anyone understand the MRA 30+ retirement plan? If I’m reading correctly, you work at least 30 years and get 1.7% towards retirement for each year but no supplemental pay for social security and no adjusted cost of living after retirement? Isn’t standard retirement way better than that because you can still get percentage each year and get matching for social security?

It's a percentage of your base pay, based off the location of the facility.
Thank you! I appreciate all the help

Just submitted my eQip, MMPI-2 submitted a couple weeks ago. I was wondering when I might hear back about these things? Anticipating an extended review of my security clearance and being placed in tier 2, but would also like to know ASAP if I'm on the receiving end of a miracle!
Submitted the eQip on 02/15, got a call from the investigator on 03/02. Interview took 2.5 hours on 03/06. Was told I'll probably need another interview to iron everything out. So hopefully we'll have the report finalized and submitted within the next two weeks. I have my AME on 03/09.

Damn looking at the pay and area of the facilities in California is highly tempting. If I don’t land a Houston area facility then I’d want to go to Cali.

Also if you’re enroute and pass the academy (with a high ranking), how many options for facilities do they give you? I know it depends on facility staffing but do they give you like 5 options? 10? Terminal I read is different.

One per person that passes. I would peruse the FAQs on here...

I don’t see that specific information on enroute with the FAQ. But damn only 1 per person? That kinda blows

Direct quote:

After passing evaluations, each class is given a list of facilities to choose from. The facilities are drawn from the priority placement lists, and number of slots offered will be match the number of graduating students. The selection order is based on your class ranking (highest score first).

OCONUS locations are sometimes offered as alternatives to the selection list. They will only be available if they are in the top 250 slots on the placement list.

TERMINAL: Assignments are level 7 or below facilities. Infrequently, Level 8 facilities may be offered.
