Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

For those here with TH as your rep, when was the last time you heard from them?
I believe she’s been very very busy. Last time I spoke to her, she sounded passively agitated, understandable. I plan to never bother her again :/

For those who received their FOL, and are filling out the EODS forms - there are 5 that should be left unfilled, but is it okay that I also ignore the Prior Federal Employment form? The Disability form says it's optional, but the Prior Federal Employment one does not.

I believe I filled mine out just to be safe.

ouch, well atleast she's still around. The last time TH included her name was on my TOL lol, I had to dial up the general hr number to find out I received my clearances in back in april. Hell, I don't think I've ever directly communicated with my rep, cause even the CIL was sent by CS ("on behalf of TH"), busy busy lady!

Has anyone that was cleared in May get any updates? Does the drug test last for 6 months?
I was cleared in early May and haven’t heard any updates yet. Rep is KH. I check in with him by email every couple months and he says he’s still waiting on an academy date for me.

Thanks!
I think so. I did it in January and was asked to do it again 3 weeks ago. And it was after I onboarded
I did mine end of February so I probably have to do it again soon.

I was cleared mid May and last I saw most of the April people got FOLs in July, so I'm thinking this is the month for us!

I hope so too buddy. I also hope that there will be classes left for us this year. It’s starting to look like slim pickings on the course catalog for this year.

I noticed that last week. Lots of classes disappeared from the catalogue
The FAA was told there are too many people in the building right now. They have to cut back on new classes so that there is only one day shift and one night shift class max. There are 4 classes in session at the moment...I would wager this means if you haven't yet gotten a FOL, you're not going to OK this year. As far as backlogs go, there are people in the March classes that are still on the waiting list.

Edit: That's one day and one night shift for both enroute and tower. So there can be up to 4 classes total.

RIP. Thanks for the update though, that makes sense as to why they suddenly quit onboarding people.

That's insane. Glad you managed to get in though..

I appreciate the update. This wait sucks. It would be nice to at least be on-boarded sometime this year but I’m not holding my breath.

It could be worse. I was onboarded in March, and was proceeded to be sit through Zoom classes on repeat everyday Monday thru Friday until July. All the while taking home $270/wk, slowly losing my sanity being told I can't work during the day even though Zoom classes were only 3 hours. You may not be accruing PTO and shit like that, but at least you still have the ability to support yourself while you wait.

There shouldn't be a urge to rush either...say you go to the academy, what do you think will happen next? I graduate in a couple weeks, and when I do....I go back home, sit on my ass and wait for however long it is until my facility calls and says I come in now. Training isn't really a thing yet for us.
