Wait what . . . . You can't give a VVBA a EDC without taking a delay (at least with the current rules)?By the time I was able to release him I busted my EDC time by 10 minutes and the conflict was long gone. My evaluator either didn't notice or didn't care because I didn't stop coordinating the entire time with point outs and what not. Probably would have been different if I just sat there frozen.
You could argue if he wants a fast climb to wherever and there’s traffic to have him wait until the traffic is gone.Wait what . . . . You can't give a VVBA a EDC without taking a delay (at least with the current rules)?
Nah you just do fast climb to 050 or whatever since you usually stop those Greenwood guys at like 020 or 030 i can’t rememberYou could argue if he wants a fast climb to wherever and there’s traffic to have him wait until the traffic is gone.
It's just Blue Angel no need to say Navy.Navy Blue Angel
At the academy they make you say Navy. It's just Blue Angel no need to say Navy.
That's dumb lol. Oh wellAt the academy they make you say Navy.
That was probably the rule back in 2018 but i was a bit down the shitter and had airborne traffic to handle first.Wait what . . . . You can't give a VVBA a EDC without taking a delay (at least with the current rules)?
I still don’t understand why they give you a deal at the academy for traffic that’s like 2 sectors awayI never had the VVBA on evals, but on one of the last problems pre-eval I totally blew that sumbitch through 3 GWO arrivals (none anywhere close, but I did not check my strip bay). I was prepared to give him 4000 ft if I got one and wasn't 100% sure there was no non-radar traffic. I'd rather eat the error for not clearing him to the highest available altitude than say, 3 A-1s.
Yeah and for approving a point out and not referencing military airspace that’s not even in your sector ??I still don’t understand why they give you a deal at the academy for traffic that’s like 2 sectors away
Oh yah lmao.Yeah and for approving a point out and not referencing military airspace that’s not even in your sector ??
My entire class had to deal with VVBA (Sometimes multiple) which I think is bs since you only see 4-5 of them in the practice problems. You see more no transponders in the practice problems and they don’t even appear on the current evals.I never had the VVBA on evals, but on one of the last problems pre-eval I totally blew that sumbitch through 3 GWO arrivals (none anywhere close, but I did not check my strip bay). Eh anything you see once or twice should be fair game. And fighters do quick climbs in real life. Just did one the other day. I hear you . . . My issue is that the VVBA situations are much more complex on the evals compared to what you see in the practice problems. I don’t think there are many other tasks I would say the same.Eh anything you see once or twice should be fair game. And fighters do quick climbs in real life. Just did one the other day. Please elaborate!!!I hear you . . . My issue is that the VVBA situations are much more complex on the evals compared to what you see in the practice problems. I don’t think there are many other tasks I would say the same.
You just launch him below the lowest guy on the board.I hear you . . . My issue is that the VVBA situations are much more complex on the evals compared to what you see in the practice problems. I don’t think there are many other tasks I would say the same.
