Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

No we didn't even have that option either back then. That was introduced sometime after our bid. I think in 2018.
Makes me wonder why they ever made it available. It’s not a great indicator for applicants, and I don’t think there’s any advantage to them adding it. But it’s nice to know, I guess

Sorry I doubt this. I’m also from 2017 bid and we didn’t get ATSA scores that said BQ, WQ, or Q back then

For the 2018 bid I was able to call and find out my score (which was BQ, WQ or Q), in 2019 they started putting it on the USAJobs website. I'm pretty sure you've been able to do it for a while, the person that told me to do is has been in for a few years.

Nope. I tried asking them during the 2017 bid if they give out any scores and they said no. 2018 was the first time they divulged to applicants whether they were WQ or Q. They didn’t even have BQ back then. I followed this site and the CTI group pretty closely when I was going through the 2017 bid and not a single person mentioned they were able to get their ATSA score/band that year

Just because things were different the year you applied doesn't mean that those things suddenly became brand new when they were reinstated. They've assigned scores (and disclosed them) by WQ/Q for at least a decade, maybe longer. And obviously the BQ did not suddenly blossom into existence in 2018...

I never said that Q or WQ didn't exist. I just said that they didn't divulge that information to applicants for the 2017 bid (for that matter the 2016 bid either). I'm well aware that they've always categorized applicants by their test scores. I took the ATSAT before and was WQ.

Maybe you'll believe Breakaway who had credibility on this site, but many of you are probably too new to know who he was...

Yup pretty sure it suddenly blossomed into existence in 2019... Another arbitrary decision made by the FAA that changes the rules whenever it wants to

I applied to the 2018 bid, which to my knowledge was the first year they ever disclosed your qualification. And the only way to get it was to call and find out. Then I re-applied to the 2019 bid which was the first bid where they told everyone their qualification via USA Jobs. The bands existed, but I don't think they ever told people prior to the 2018 bid where they fell. Also, I can vouch for myself. So this is all reliable and 100% correct.

I called in 2018 and was told I was BQ, but some random guy on the internet says it didn't exist so it can't be true.

I agree with this statement.

yo why are you guys bickering over this lol
RIGHT!! lol that was years ago. I hope all of yall are having a wonderful day, i know this is a slow process, but hell of excitement for this journey ahead of us all. We'll most likely be in academy sometime next year, which is cool but nevertheless, for people that accepted their TOLs PLEASE CHECK MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS IN FAQ!!! There are things in there like Blood pressure, eye sight, EKG etc... that they will check and with this prolonged wait its PERFECT timing to get it fixed!! Love all of yall :]

Speaking of eyesight do they still check uncorrected? My eyesight is 20/20 corrected but my contact prescription is -4.75 which as fast as I know is pretty bad.
