30-45 Minutes, 300k? buying $1000-1500 for an apartment while I look. Is this a pipe dream?
As of last time I lived in the metroplex (4 years ago) that was doable. You aren't getting a mansion for that but it's there. As far as apartments yes for a 1 or 2 bed you should be able to find something. The trendier parts of Dallas are a little more pricey, but there's tons of sprawl loaded up with apartments all around.

Lots of fucking planes all coming and going all seemingly at the same time, tempered with an extremely efficient layout and procedures. When i was there the management was good, but your management answers to AAL so….

Think of how slow American does everything where you work now, and imagine 80% of your traffic being that slow. Pretty fun facility and north Texas is booming right now.

its a dream spot for me. im trying, but certainly not holding my breath

Their operations haven't radically changed over the same time period, so there must be a reason for the change in success rate, is the point.

Perhaps it highlights how NCEPT doesn’t really work as intended. Who would’ve thought that going from a low-level VFR tower to the 3rd busiest airport in the world would set anyone up for success? Any high level facility across the NAS has probably seen a drastic drop in success rates since NCEPT. I know my facility’s success rate has dropped significantly since NCEPT.

Hasn't there volume and complexity increased?

Those kind of both touch on what I’m trying to find out here - Was there a change in their traffic/complexity, or has NCEPT resulted in their success rate plummeting from possibly receiving unprepared transfers from lower level facilities?

Traffic has increased a little & the airport is doing a ton of construction so complexity has probably gone up a bit.

I’d guess it’s more that transfers just aren’t able to make the jump quick enough to be successful. Prior to NCEPT, DFW probably never would have selected lower level/single runway-type ERRs and instead selected from mid to high level towers.
