Imagine thinking that overflights are what makes the job hard…Imagine working at a TRACON that doesn’t take overflights and thinking you have a hard job. A80 ?

Imagine thinking traffic volume doesn’t increase complexity. If it doesn’t increase complexity, why would someone not just take the handoff?Imagine thinking that overflights are what makes the job hard…
Easier than the Coast area? That goes both ways, you can have a prior D10, C90, A80 etc controller in your area or less than real 12 tracon and everyone have to work around them. Both scenarios are as likely. I do work at a 12 but further beyond 12 to 12 transfer, there is 7/8's in the country who would probably try to wash me. I'm not saying us consolidated tracon controllers are above any other flavor of traffic whether it's the same level or lower. LAX arrivals is one of the easiest to work at SCT, highest success rate, has the quickest checkout time and arguably best quality of life fwiw.
they certainly add complexity if you have a departure/arrival rush. Especially if you have 2-3 of them at different altitudes in the way.Imagine thinking that overflights are what makes the job hard…
Yes.Easier than the Coast area?
Where's Burbank area fit in?Yes.
It's not and the training success rates back that upYes.
Threw me off that there were actual words here, not just "RAZE WEN"they certainly add complexity if you have a departure/arrival rush. Especially if you have 2-3 of them at different altitudes in the way.
