We have a horrible enemy as it is with the FAA and when they open the door slightly for something like this I would hope our NEB would bust through. It feels like the lack of vote is the defense. Why wasn't the CWG pushed further? Why not help and create a real option? Isn't this exactly what they are a board for?

This whole thing shines a light on everything and exposes more issues than previously thought. Plus, ensuring communication with the members includes actually communicating with them.

I just don’t understand. Rich flat out said last night that he and Tim from the FAA agreed to seat a workgroup, on which he put Dean Iacopelli. Then took to the NEB who after a robust discussion had no appetite to take this issue on. Was all that off the cuff lies?

We can all agree it seems off that the FAA would agree to 5 upgrades with no threat to downgrade. However, we can see them agreeing to create a workgroup to look at it probably hoping it takes years and what not maybe? The timing does appear Santa and Tim probably had some what of a decent collaboration relationship with the CRWG being completed between the two parties.

Regardless, it makes the whole NEB look lazy to not even bother to push forward. Was talked about once and then again a year later? Props to that Fac Rep who brought it up on one of the calls.

There could have been an avenue to procure information relevant to any of the aforementioned discussions between the FAA and NATCA, but your FacReps and delegates unanimously determined at the FLL convention that the amendment for record transparency was not conducive to conducting union business.

Nah I get what he’s trying to spin. But it’s bullshit. He’s a Santa plant. If they voted it down, that would be a block. Why didn’t they vote? Why did it just fall by the wayside for a year? If it was a real thing and that real thing got blocked by our very own representation there woulda been chairs flying and we woulda heard about it later that same day.
