Yea, the WH press secretary said basically because thats what the “experts” tell us. So they don’t have real data they can share to prove that there even is a delta variant. They are just trying to scare people into taking the experimental Jab. They do not tell you what the emergency room capacity is either do they? Florida reports their cases once a week but the honest media claims the positive cases are thru the roof because of it. It’s misleading fear mongering. Let those who choose not to be vaccinated roll the dice since they have a 99.7% survival rate! Which isn’t even an emergency! But the lemmings were told we are in a state of emergency so they believe it. You people work at our facilities, you know nobody wears a mask or social distances NOW, it’s a joke. Doubt it.
They get a small sampling of tests and then estimate based off those numbers
So if in a region say there’s 10,000 positives, they take a handful of them and then do genome tests and that’s where they get the number.

You ever have anyone go out for a DUI in your facility? They make those guys attend counseling and other stuff outside of duty time as a condition of their medical/employment because of a choice they made. It’s not a stretch to think this couldn’t go the exact same way.
They’ve already incentivized getting the shot with free leave. Look at all the trends of FAA quarantine times for vax vs unvaxxed. None of us know how this going to go but thinking the FAA wants to incentivize people that are already more of a staffing liability with free leave or extra pay to get tested seems like false confidence on that side.

Not at my facility. That’s a big difference though not being vaccinated isn’t the same as drunk driving. (I think I found Gavin Newsoms .65 account..) ?
If labor laws say employees have to be compensated for their time getting tested then that’s the law. If the FAA finds a way around the law or if there are exceptions then I’ll just have to deal with it.
Have they stopped training at anyone’s facilities yet?
