Variants arise due to mutations, the more infections then the larger probability of mutations, increased infections are predominant in largely unvaccinated areas hence it's origin in India, of course Big Pharma is absolute scum but to deny they have an interest in being the champions of a worldwide pandemic is wanting at best.

Of course they do sketchy shit in the shadows, all business does. It's the difference between the rich and the poor, we're not allowed to make money however we want. The rich can. But this is on a world stage, different rules and public trust is on the line.

The flu vaccine isn't due to a booster, it's due to the large variation of the virus. Coronavirus in general is an extremely broad terms.
