Applied in July. Got referred in October I think. And then was told I was put in for selection in December but that TOL’s take roughly 3 months to go out. I’ve seen people certify who’ve had the class and didn’t have the class. I’ve also seen people wash who’ve had the class and didn’t have the class. If offered the chance to go, ask yourself if you’re willing to decline an opportunity to help you certify... Sounds like my dream facility. You wouldn't happen to know who makes selections on the bids would you? I believe I heard ATM's don't really make selections when it's usajobs bids so it's not like the ncept where a manager can rank whoever they want in whatever order. Can anyone confirm or deny?To update:
C90 has had 8 different ATMs in the last 10 years
C90 has had 16 different OMs in the last 10 years
C90 has had more training withdrawals than failures in the last 5 years

40-60!? Sheeeshhh no wonder she didn't call me with all those options. But really I'm not quite sure why they don't hire like N90 or the way I think LAX did it where they just taken on an absolute fuck ton of trainees. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to wait 2 years to start training but they could still be selecting more than they are especially when the possible gains goes up every month. Is this the guy who failed the Flight Data check ride?-The required tests to get through prior to going to the floor are extremely outdated. The tests are full of information that most CPCs I asked didn't have committed to memory. I was literally told by the contracted civilian trainers that they wouldn't care if I brought my binder in while I took the test. The tests are now proctored. Maybe they aren't full of irrelevant and outdated shit now?
-Additionally said binder was last updated in like 2014 or some shit. Can't remember since I tossed it. I had to specifically request course material and that's what I was provided with - outdated shit. -Many controllers are burnt the fuck out on training and expecting you to quit. Turns out that judgment is infectious and being virtually anywhere else is better. In the same vein if you're not from the general area of the Midwest, some CPCs will write you off for even stepping foot in the door. None of it was particularly intimidating but expect to put forth tremendously more effort than the training department is willing to.
