CPC reinstatements

So far there is one person that said they will only allow reinstatement to the same level you left from. Are there more confirmed cases of this? Or has anyone else been able to do reinstatement to a higher level. What if you tried reinstatement to N90, C90 or PHL that have high staffing needs?

Same level or lower that you left. We've had 3 reinstatements and 1 pending. They all were denied higher levels in the area.

I went from a 9 to a 12. I was rehired in 2021. I applied to two 12s. Both managers tried to hire me. One was denied at the district level and they offered two level 8s and the other let me go to the 12 I wanted. The district that offered the 8s said they had too many inbounds to the 12.

What was your timeline between leaving and getting rehired, and what did you do during your time off?

May 2019 - Quit and took a job at a dod facility where I worked when I was in the military.

May 2020 - called the two facilities I where I wanted to work and told them my intentions.

July 2020 - After ncept results both ATMs called and said they were submitting my paperwork for reinstatement.

August 2020 - found out one district denied me due to ncept inbounds and they offered two lvl 8 vfr towers. I called HR and asked if I could wait for the other districts decision and they said yes.

September 2020 - found out my paperwork was at the ATO for final decision at the other 12.

December 2020 - TOL

March 2021 - First day in the door.

Ok are you guys able to say what district said no and which said yes? Just curious if all of the no’s came from the same district. Now we have two examples of people going to higher levels. Are they denying desirable facilities if you are going up in level but not less desirable? I’m coming up on my year out I left for the DoD but my circumstances changed so looking into reinstatement

15 days from dropping paperwork to 3-4 facilities. Networked with ATM's and FacReps, everyone seems onboard.

Apply directly to ATM if it's been a year.

Question for everyone. I am applying for reinstatement myself. I have been out of FAA since 2020 and I am requesting reinstatement to a facility lower than the one I was at before. My question is how do I access the SF-50s needed for the required documentation? I have my last SF-50 prior to resigning, but I guess I need the SF-50s for date of original appointment, completion of one year/probationary period, and documenting separation from FAA. Also I transferred in the FAA from the DoD at that time I started in the FAA. Thanks for any information given.

Was December to March security check?

Yeah, took about a month for a TOL. Signed, then 60 days to complete hiring requirements. Haven’t received any emails for that yet. Good ole’ hurry up and wait.
Are you still waiting?

Was December to March security check?
December to March was physical, mmpi, and drug test. I already had a security clearance from the dod. They actually finished my clearances in February and I took the earliest offered start date of 14 March.
