Not only did he pass, but had the option of any Z in the US as there weren't any double chosen facilities... people would've killed for that option up until recently. Crazy stuff

Did they though? Because zme was higher on the mandatory priority list but was not chosen so it's certainly possibly they were one of the bottom 2 scores in the class, and could choose between zme or zab and they didn't want either so resigned after placement.

This is what happens when people start doing research and see what the job is really like nowadays. Stagnant wages. A union that refuses to fight for anything better. No ability to transfer. 6 day rattler work schedules for life. The list goes on. It’s not appealing to a lot of kids coming in from the academy anymore.

Even if that’s the case base CPC at both facilities is 149k and 136k respectively. QOL and location aside it’s crazy that the public sector jobs have reached a point where that level of pay isn’t attractive enough to stay after passing the academy. But we’re happy with our hours and pay right?

Yeah they changed the rules last year. There's not really any center, to my knowledge, that is so staffed it's not on an academy list.

Before the CWRG change, no. ZHU, ZFW, ZDV, ZSE, occasionally ZDC and others were not available time to time. After the CWRG change, yes, with the exception of ZSE and ZMP for a while, but both are back on the list.
