Anyone know why AME's listed 30 minutes from me aren't on the list and I'm forced to drive at least an hour and a half for my medical? Are the AME's on the list a higher tier or something?

Yeah seriously, I live in Philly and the closest AME on my list is an hour and half away lol

Prolly just set up to take direct payment from the faa/agree to the faa rate.

Damn when did you take the MMPI? I just took mine today and I keep running through my head different ways I should have answered it. Hopefully Tier 2 will be quicker for you

11/30 so I was among the first in this bid to take it. Same here though I really don't know which questions flagged me unless they thought my answers were too good to be true. Best of luck to everyone else

You'll either get the old Tier-2 wait or the 2020 Tier 2 wait. In my case, only took 3 months due to COVID.

Hard to say really. After being notified of Tier 2, I was expecting at least a year before progress would be made due to the horror stories of past bids who were Tier-2. However, people from the 2017, 2018 & 2019 bids managed to clear Tier-2 last year. I don't know if that would be the norm going forward or just a massive outlier. The end result was pretty moot since the Academy couldn't offer class dates until this year, so I would have had to wait regardless.

Ugh this is my fear. I was supposed to take the MMPI today but they rescheduled for next week after an hour of my being there due to computer problems.

Getting tier 2’d is also my fear ? I took mine January 4th so I’m just praying I get the all clear soon. Then I can wait a lot more patiently until I get an FOL lol. Every time someone posts that they got tier 2’d I freak out a little bit ??

Welcome to the club. I took mine 12/18 and found out 1/6 I was going to be Tier 2'd. I'm still waiting to hear if I've been "approved" by the flight surgeon. I was told she doesn't know the time frame for everything once she sends it out, but could be 8 months. If that's the case, it sure beats the 2-3 years I've seen in other posts.

So 2 weeks and 2 days...tomorrow will be exactly that for me since I took my mmpi. Hopefully mine will come soon too! ?? Was it from your HR rep or medical?

Finished everything 12/16. Last I heard just my medical is pending flight surgeon review so hopefully I will here something soon too.
