TBD (Q1) 2021

Did you just call me old? Lol

And for the record I picked states and knew where I was going before attending the Academy and have still changed facilities twice since my initial placement. Just because you think you know where you want to be when you get hired doesn't mean you'll always want to stay there. Life changes. Face it, there are too many variables and it is impossible to please everyone.

I had also heard a few years back that the union basically has no say in the Academy, hiring, and initial placement so I don't think it matters. The FAA does what the FAA wants. Based on history it will change again in a few years anyway.
Exactly why if they minimize the amount of people transferring it’ll be easier. Right now they are maximizing the amount of ppl that want to transfer lmao.

And on top of this people had to balance where you want to be against states that had the most facilities that might hire. When I applied it was individual states, and I applied for every one of them lol, 13 at the time.

Any consensus/insight on when the next panel might be? Is it wise if you're interested in going to really only one facility and you put in for it, to keep it at just that one facility or is it wiser to put paperwork in for other surrounding facilities?

No clue on the next panel. Probably not until everyone is back to work.

If you are desperate to get to the new area put in for all the facilities there. (Being at a feeder facility isn’t necessarily a good thing, some big facilities choose people nowhere near them. Just depends on the area and the ATM/Facreps.)

You might consider moving to a different high level to get the resume built up, instead of a low level in that specific area.

Depends on if you want to go to any of those surrounding facilities or not. If not, it isn't wise. If so, it is wise. No one will be looking at your list and saying "hey, both these guys put in for MCO but one of them said he'd go anywhere in Florida so he must want it more, we'll give him MCO instead of the other guy."

If anything you have a lower chance of getting your desired facility the more others you list, because once you're selected for one facility you're removed from consideration for any others in that NCEPT panel. So if you want the area that's fine, if you want the facility specifically it isn't.

ATMs and FacReps will absolutely be able to see all the facilities you’ve applied for and it WILL play a role, depending on how they feel about it. I’ve had two different facilities come back and question why I have in for more than just their facility etc. not a “how dare you apply for more than ours” but more of a “what’s the deal here, what are you trying for?”

Yup this happened to me. 1 facility told me they ranked me lower than other people because i was ranked high at the other facility and was for sure going there. Guess where i ended up? The facility that ranked me lower.

They think they understand NCEPT and the ranking/selection process but they don’t lol. They try to play the who will go where system and rank that way. When they should just rank whoever they want in the order they want them and ignore the places you have in for etc.

It’s strange that they can even see that. A manager for one job should have no idea if you’ve applied to other jobs unless you tell them.

Exactly. Ironically the facility that ranked me higher was higher in priority then the one i got selected at and they got nobody even though they could have gotten 3

Any manager that is able to select people according to the priorities/vacancies list (plus a few extras to staff 9 and below) can see the lists other managers receive AND see the other manager’s ranking.

100% should not be allowed

Shows that facility is full of idiots who don’t know how to rank it how the system works. If they are picking ahead of the other facility, it don’t matter where you were ranked there and they would have got you first anyway. If the other facility was picking first and they picked you up, then you would not have shown up on the other facilities list, so they would not have lost anything by ranking you high or low or wherever.

This was touched on a bit earlier, but do I have any hope of getting a support specialist position at another facility with my facility unable to release anyone? Hoping maybe that deviation lingo when they said NCEPT was on hold may help me? Maybe? Please?

More than likely not gonna happen.

If you can’t get a deviation, I believe you must wait for staffing to increase.

They haven't approved a deviation in 3 months

You’re on in NCEPT community; what’s the word on the next panel?

What’s rules/percentages can we expect when it comes to?

What “dynamic decisions” will we all anticipate to unfold when this next panel happens?

Nah man you can't do that with Move78, he's more of an angelic deliverer than a messenger boy. Besides with how big the NCEPT issue is right now, and how much of an issue it would cause to move more CPCs, seeing NCEPT again before training starts (without busting the MOU) is nigh impossible. They already stated the desire to reduce CPC movement, can't fix that until training adds to the CPC count and 32andBelow clears someone to land like Kiefer Sutherland only to having harrowing flashbacks of his time at the Z.

They probably won’t do another one until the 6 month release is after the 1 year release they forced on the last group. So at least until the end of Q1?
