Our first day none of our local guys got over a 30 with big guy. He was absent on day two and on day three i needed like a 70 on my ground to pass and he was my evaluator.

A lot of the major point deductors seem black and white to me, surely the evaluator doesn't make a difference if you break separation, disregard wake turbulence, miss safety alerts, etc. Where does the real fear of this guy come from?

He was a PITA for sure, they actually had to pull him from RTF so he could help on our last days of evals.

If it's one dude consistently giving low scores, the problem is probably him.

I think this dude may partially be the problem, but I also dont think some folks are completely honest with themselves. If you are having to make 2 or 3 planes do 360's from hitting each other, forgetting about downwind extensions, and not shipping planes, then you are at fault as well.

My class finished today. 7/18 counting the 3 who washed in Basics. Going to MWH, MWH, OKC, ISP, FWA, LFT or BED, and FSM most likely.

Sounds about right. Last I heard was there were people on the bubble this afternoon that were trying to challenge the scores.

How often are TR's successful?

Depends. What they mostly end up being is "student opinion vs evaluator opinion." In those cases the TR is basically never successful for the student.
