BWI gets 1.7% CIP.

This is more proof that the places that receive CIP are not truly high cost of living or hard to staff, but political favors and scams. #ElijahCummings

If Trump gets re-elected 2022 contract should be really interesting.
Why? Do you think he will care enough to personally oversee the contract negotiations to assure we get screwed? Or do you think he will sign executive orders to abolish official time and crush federal unions? If you think that then why does he have to be re-elected. He could do that anytime or could have done it his first two years when the GOP controlled all three branches.

if you’re not a fan of recent history, our contracts generally don’t fare well under Republican presidencies. It’s not just about Trump himself, but rather the people he’s appointed under him. Such as Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao. Aka Mitch McConnel’s wife. And it’s funny you brought up the EO’s, because he did do that but it’s our current contract that keeps them from affecting us.

It’s already happening at the VA, I just saw something at the pentagon next.
Things I see being effected :
CIP
June Raises
Official time
Grievance procedures and handling
Dress code
Credit Hours
Contracting out-remember the talks of that when Trump initially got in but then that fell to the wayside with them focused on ACA and tax cuts.
They also want bargaining members to be able to quit at anytime not only once a year. I see this as a big problem if the contract gets really bad and people feel like the union doesn’t have enough power. It makes sense why all of this collaboration has been happening maybe they have been seeing the writing on the wall. I’m a fan of collaboration btw just have read about that in other threads here.

They want to take away our raise every year. You think they are going to want to give us a raise in our contract?

Wrong... Our current contract protects us from the current EO's... That's why the union is making a big deal out of the upcoming election.

With our current contract expiring in 2 year and the possibility of trump being reelected opens us up to being screwed with more that what we are currently use to.

Love watching the people on here who are trump supporters do mental gymnastics trying to convince themselves that he's not bad for our profession or federal workers in general.

Support him if you want but don't try to come on this website and bullshit all of us into believing he would be anything but a disaster for us.
