Nobody — nobody wants to be here. My family isn’t anymore important than anyone else’s family and their family isn’t anymore important than mine. I personally am tired of all this bullshit where everybody wants to pretend that they are the only ones who don’t want to be at work.

It would be nice to get some kind of rotational team schedule going so we can all find a way to limit our exposure.

Exactly. It's amazing how the same people that said the coronavirus is no big deal are the same people whining at my facility that they shouldnt be there. Most people are just trying to scam for some free leave instead of doing their jobs. Until Trump shuts the NAS down, people have to show up. It's not rocket science.

Both party's suck. I dislike the Democratic party and many of its representatives. If you're a controller the Republicans are bad for you and your family. The democrats at least make an attempt to make government functional. At times like these you can see the difference that ideology makes. If you hold the Republican default position that government doesn't work, you make policies that insure that it doesn't and the consequences are the disfunction that's playing out before us. I'm taking about everything from the White House level on down to our wonderful agency.

*Another* administration, whether Democratic or Republican, may have been more competent and proactive in responding to the pandemic, which may have included coming up with plans to temporarily reduce staffing in areas of the federal workforce where the pandemic has decreased demand. And yes that would include CPC staffing.

Also, when one votes for people running on a platform of dismantling government institutions, one shouldn't be surprised when the result is dysfunctional government.

Fun fact, Obama was the president when the slate book (the current book) was signed. The book went in effect in 2016. Trump took office on January 20, 2017.

People will scam if they can, fortunately mine is extremely well documented. I handed my ATM a letter on the 19th stating what I had, what medications were being taken with FS approval, and when it became community spread that leave would be requested. Talk about perfect timing.

we are literally part of the executive branch. If the top of the executive branch says send as many home as possible that’s what happens. If they think it’s a fake news and will be gone like a miracle then nothing happens.

In the future, I would never disclose any medical information to a member of management. Go through the Flight Doc and let them tell management that you have a condition requiring you to be excused from work.

Normally I would concur but my instinct paid off in this instance. My sensing is that the hammer will come down hard on those trying to scam and I wanted to leave no doubt for the lawyers if it ever came to that.

Did the same. I self-reported my condition several years ago, and have had to get a special conditional every year.
