TRACON track for new hires

We were all prior experienced. 7/8 were tower only experienced.

We were the first course conduct. If we got a passing score we had the option to take N90, which one person did.

The second course conduct is in TSEW and should move into TETRA soon. The first full N90 TETRA class is in RTF.

Prior experience CPCs or mil?

So from the that class that is in RTF and on, will the only option be N90 after passing TETRA?

And the N90 class is from the direct hire bid. The last word I heard is that class will be offered lower level facilities if they fail TETRA, but for later classes it will be job jeopardy.

That seems unfair but no one said it would be.
 
Can anyone speak to what the TETRA airspace looks like?

It's laterally the same as the TSEW airspace, but with different altitudes. 30 mile radius of airspace around the airport. It's a 2 airport class B with top of B at 10,000. Academy airspace is up to 17,000.
North and south feeders own the corners to the downwind, stepping down in altitudes.
North and south satellites own surface plus a few thousand feet depending on where.
North and south departures, depending on direction, own above or below the feeder/satellite airspace.
Final position owns the parallel finals.
Class C airport to the south.
Class D airport to the northeast.

The plan is to another Class D to the Northwest and eventually make the TETRA (airpsace) the standard RTF (airspace). If I remember correctly.
