LOLOLOLOLOL.
Dude… first of all… just wow. There are people from every stance that try to interject their beliefs into others’ lives.
I’ll speak for myself as a conservative minded religious person. People are free to live their lives as they please as long as their way of living doesn’t infringe upon the freedoms and rights of other people. Of course there are contentious areas around this (abortion for example) where liberal thinkers believe pro life is infringing upon the “right to choose” and conservative thinkers believe you are infringing upon the baby’s right to life (existence).
Long story short, it’s not black and white, but the conservative religious types like myself only find ourselves obligated to step and and “interject” when somebody else’s’ actions go against morality. Where does that morality come from? A higher power.. God. It is objective and as “true” and “false.”
For non religious people, where does your morality come from? How does one determine right and wrong? The scary thing is, it appears to be subjective. Thats a very dangerous thing. If you’re willing to assert that morality doesn’t come from a higher power, then it comes from humans. And that makes it subjective. Who are you to tell somebody who believes rape is ok that they are morally wrong? It’s subjective so there is no such thing as a definable right and wrong without morality coming from God.
