But nah in reality calming your nerves is the best thing you can do on eval day.

Really this is the best thing you can do. Come eval day I wasn't studying at all. I went for walks and played freecell on my computer while zoning out to music. Keep your brain engaged, but don't freak yourself out.

Good idea. Realistically, if you don’t have a handle on it by the day before evals, studying that evening will be of no benefit.
That’s basically what I said going into nonradar evals as well. My original plan was to run problems that whole weekend (we evaled on a Monday), but quickly realized I needed to just chill the night before. We also have radar evals on a Monday & Tuesday, so we have to combat the nerves for a full weekend

Yeah for the majority of people, last minute cramming before Evals will do more harm than good. If you don’t know your SOPs/LOAs or what to do in specific situations by the day before Evals, a couple extra hours in the books isn’t really gonna help.

Do what's best for you. I studied the whole time, but that's just because it helped me feel less nervous to be rereading the lessons and SOPs while waiting to run. I wasn't particularly trying to learn anything; it made me feel calmer and more confident. You already know everything you need to know going into evals and if you don't, you were never going to make it.
